Milenco0512 Commercial Steering Wheel Lock

This works well and whilst a little fiddly to fit the first time, when you've done it once, it can be put on in a few seconds. It also has the advantage that, unlike a wheel clamp, you can easily carry it with you when travelling and set up if stopping at services etc.The reason I haven't rated it 5 stars is that on 2 separate occasions, I have struggled to unlock the device. The key will not turn fully in the lock. This is referenced in the instructions (so I guess I'm not the first!) and it states to remove the key and reinsert if it occurs. On both occasions this has not resulted in an immediate fix and it's only been after some minutes of multiple re-insertions of the key and lots of fiddling about that I have been able to turn the lock. It leaves a nagging doubt that one day I will not be able to open it at all and then the device will become an effective deterrent for me to drive my own vehicle!

I was impressed, it’s solid and a good weight to it. The key works smoothly and very easy to use. The only small thing is because of its weight it tends to put a slight indent on the steering wheel if you place it horizontally like most are fitted. The indent is temporary and does return to normal after a couple of hours. However, I find it fits better, if I fit it vertically, the weight is better distributed on the steering wheel. Very happy with it.

Very solid and secure yet swivel locking engages perfectly on steering wheel and length is perfect as goes between windscreen and structure when fiat steering lock is on. It will fit in horizontal position also but this position restricts movement to almost nothing. Fitted perfectly in swift motorhome which is a 2020 fiat ducato cab. Not too heavy and it is definitely a great deterrent. Highly recommended as gold standard security rated. The shorter hsl car version evidently will fit a motorhome but not long enough for a commercial cab hence the 0513 is about 150mm longer. Comes with three secure looking keys. 5 stars from e.

Corresponded directly by email with Milenco (who were very responsive), as my VW T6 automatic has override paddles on the steering wheel. They advised this would fit, and it does, provided the paddles are in the 'engaged' position. They also recommended the 'commercial' version, which is longer than the standard version, so better impedes turning the wheel in a van. Very happy so far, though no-one has yet tried to steal the van (thankfully) so it hasn't been put to the ultimate test!

Easy to fit and seems well made. Fits my Fiat base motorhome with no problems.
