Moleskine Classic Notebook, Large, Dotted, Black, Hard Cover (5 x 8.25)

Great paper, but a little thin. Medium nib fountain pens may put down too much ink and the writing may be too visible on the other side of the page.

I love the feel of the paper even though the paper is not the highest gsm. I am okay with the ghosting and some bled through of some pens/markers. The hardcover journal feels good in my hand and I plan on getting more. The issues that I have is that for being a Prime member, the shipment takes much too long so I will buy my next journal from a different retailer who ships faster even if I have to pay a few dollars more. I expect more from Amazon being a long-term member.

I absolutely love the Moleskine line of notebooks and the dot grid is my favorite layout. Minimal bleedthrough on the pages and strong woven pages make this a perfect choice for avid journalers, especially if you prefer to use an ink gel pen. The cover stands up to travel, getting tossed around in a bag, and repeated opening/closing. Don't skimp when it comes to a journal and go with this brand; you won't regret it.

I purchased this notebook because I wanted to start bullet journaling. The Leuchtturm 1917 seems to be the most popular notebook for the bullet journal method, but I actually wanted a notebook that DIDN'T have pre-numbered pages or an index page already in there. I'm loving this one so far! I've had moleskines in the past so I'm not worried about the durability. I love that it is dotted because it allows much more freedom for the user to do whatever they want with it, as opposed to the grid and ruled types that are very structured and rigid (and frankly, an eyesore to look at). Something to keep an eye out for is ink bleeding or being visible through the pages, so if you're worried about any fountain pens or markers you like to use, you can set aside a page just for testing those out. I only wish that this notebook was more readily available; it doesn't seem to be available in stores anywhere (I've only seen the soft cover dotted ones available in store, not the hard cover). From what I've seen, the dotted hard cover also only seems to be available in black and not any other colors (though the soft cover dotted ones come in a variety of colors). I'm really hoping that they become more easily available because I don't plan on buying any other kind of notebook for my bullet journaling!

I wanted to jump on the bullet journal bandwagon. I've used moleskin notebooks in the past and am smitten with them. I enjoy the pocket in the back and the band that keeps it securely closed. I will say heavy markers will bleed through the pages. I tend to use light pens and I don't have many issues. It's a great size to fit in my bag and I love it. I will definitely be getting another one when I'm ready for a new notebook!

I have always loved Moleskine notebooks for journals, and I got one to use as a bullet journal. However, the pages are a little too thin to use with pens and highlighters and even some ink or gel pens, and you can see marks on the other side. That being said, because the pages are thin, the notebook itself is very slim and easy to carry around, compared to my Scrivwell notebook (which is much thicker).

Il classico taccuino Moleskine, con pagine puntinate è il mio preferito. Pensato bene, fatto bene, e soprattutto immediato nell'utilizzo. Presenta il segnalibro in filo e la molla per tenerlo chiuso. Dopo l'ultima pagina vi è un comodo scomparto per inserire bigliettini da visita ed eventuali note. Il colore della carta è il classico giallino chiaro che preferisco al bianco. Ho preso il puntinato perchè perfetto per il bullet journaling, ma anche perchè secondo me è perfetto per chi non ama gli schemi imposti.

I’ve never used Moleskine before, but after buying a planner-like book at Walmart branded Moleskin and using it, I was completely captivated by the quality and feel of the pages. The dotted layout is perfect for my journaling and creative doodles. The soft pages feel luxurious, making every time I write feel comfortable and easy. There’s just something about this notebook that feels like my perfect dream book! The dots provide just enough structure to keep my writing neat while still allowing me the freedom to be creative.
