Keep chickens? YOU NEED THESE!!
Our chicken run was ransacked by a mean mama fox this past spring, and we've had raccoons invade in the past too. We live in urban Denver. Yet we still see our fair share of wildlife. A coyote sauntered past my house a couple summers ago, middle of the day, like he was out for a nice stroll. Usually we keep our coop door locked up at night, but the chickens had--to their own detriment--pecked through the wire on their automatic coop door closer, so they were unprotected one night unbeknownst to us. But the attack also happened early morning, after the sun came up, is when some mama foxes like to hunt in the spring when they have kits to feed. So we lost a couple chickens. Then my husband remembered his parents, who have a legit farm in rural Colorado, had a coyote attack once, then they installed these predator eyes and never again lost another chicken. So we figured, what the heck, might as well beef up our security. We also have dogs who would usually bark off a predator, but sometimes we're out of town or who knows what. Better safe than sorry. These predator lights were easy to install, they work just as described, and we haven't had any 'coons or foxes since. If you keep chickens, in city or country, even if you haven't been attacked yet--GET SOME OF THESE! You need them. Trusty me. They're worth their weight in gold.

The skunk babies loved it!
I purchased this item to protect my chickens from nocturanal predators. I was having some territorial disputes with a large family of skunks, a couple of raccoons on their honeymoon ( no babies yet) and coyotes, although the latter mostly came to visit us during the daytime.I really hate killing animals, so after extensive research, I opted for these deterrent lights. I installed four of them according to instructions in strategic areas around my two chicken houses and made sure that they worked. They did. Scary predator eyes blinked on and off. Expecting our unwelcome visitors to pack their little suitcases and move to a more hospitable location, I settled down for a good night’s rest. The next morning, I found Clementine’s feathers in the chicken area, along with several egg shells. No sign of Clementine. The next night, I stayed awake and watched from my second story porch. Before long, here came the skunk family. Two of the very adorable little skunks noticed the predator eyes and sat down in front of them and began to chatter. They were so excited to meet a new friend!Clearly, I misunderstood the product description. Apparently, these devices are designed to make lonely nighttime predators feel more at home.Needless to say, they did not work to deter anyone or anything. This product was a total waste of money!I ended up live-trapping every single critter one by one and releasing them a few miles away in the woods.Oh, apparently I am required to select a star rating, and since 0 stars, or negative one star is not an option, I gave this product one star... but truthfully, that is one star too many.

critter deterrent positive results
Bought 6 of these back in June 2017, only one failed since then. I also must note that I have them surrounding my chicken coop. I have not had any issues with critters, and we have every critter including a Cougar in my area. The deer don't seem to care, but I have not seen a deer eat a chicken yet. My neighbor who is quite a distance from my coop saw these at night and wondered what was going on.They are now doing chickens also and bought these on my recommendation.

Flock of Chickens and Ducks
Been battling raccoons as I have chickens and ducks. I don't mind killing raccoons, but it takes time and effort. So searched for other options and figured to give this a try. I only used one for my backyard and since receiving this purchase, I haven't had raccoons visit. It's great, solar powered, starts blinking all night long up into morning. Now I have a barred owl visiting instead of raccoons!

Doesn't Deter ANYTHING.
The media could not be loaded. I lost some animals to a bobcat a few days after installing many of these. The blinking lights in the game came video I have attached is this item, the video clearly shows 2 Coyotes walking directly into the light, I also have video of a Dear waling toward the light. Very disappointed.

Need hard backing to install
I had these lights for over 6 months. I have another brand bought around the same time. What I failed to realize, to install these lights it requires a wood backing. Many sellers have these lights that has a loop on top to use wire (if you have wire fence), or screws. This has a plate in the back, with two small holes to align screw head to install. In short, hard to install. If you have wire fence, or want an easy install skip these.

effects are too mechanical
the blinking red "eyes" are too rapid and appears to not look natural for eyes looking at you. If it was more random and various interval lengths, it might appear to be something looking at you. Otherwise, it just made the raccoon "go crazy" and caused more damage to my garden.

Complete rip off
This product has no sensors at all. When it is dark out the red lights come on constantly. It isn't scaring anything or anyone. My daughter's dog was visiting and it didn't even make him blink!$53? Not worth $5.
