Looking back on the old classics, must have cost them a fortune to pay for the number of extras and sets todays CGI takes care of. Movies like the Avengers series is why 4k is of such benefit to the enjoyment of viewing with its reality like visuals. Though I did buy the Blu-ray versions when released, was, since investing in 4k always at the right price going to add this truly action-packed Special-Effects bonanza to my collection as an upgrade, so worth doing if you have 4k. A 9-Disc-Set Including 'Endgame' Bonus-Disc. 'AVENGERS ASSEMBLE' 'Loki' once thought of by 'Thor' as his brother, plans to open a porthole to bring in a deadly army to help him conquer and the rule earth. 'Nick Fury' of 'S.H.I.E.L.D' will try to bring together a group of super-heroes to do battle against 'Loki's' hoards. Trouble is 'Iron Man' 'Captain America' 'Thor' and 'Hulk' don't know each other, can they combine together to save the planet ? 'The Black Widow's task is to persuade 'Hulk' that he really wants to fight the invaders and not just anyone who seems to get in his way. 'Hawkeye' who has been over-taken by 'Loki's' power will join the super-heroes if the control by the Alien attacker can be broken. It does become a visual delight when war breaks out, not the strongest story-line you'll have watched, however the 'special effects' will hold your attention 'AVENGERS' - AGE OF ULTRON' After securing an alien component an enemy of mankind had been trying to develop, 'Tony Stark' - Iron Man (Robert Downey jnr) and 'Bruce Banner' - Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) investigate the component unaware they were creating an ultimate threat to the whole of mankind in the shape of....... 'Ultron' who has an agenda, he intends to create and army of machines to help him destroy the Avengers and mankind in it's entirety but initially needs the help of 'The Scarlett Witch' (Elizabeth Olsen) and her brother who are the sole survivors of enemy that originally been working on 'Ultron' As 'Ultron' gains strength and power the Avengers know they are mankinds only hope though the odds are stacked against them, even 'The Scarlett Witch' realizing 'Ultron's' intent aligns herself with 'Iron Man' - 'The Hulk' - the hammer swinging son of 'Odin' 'Thor' (Chris Hemsworth) - 'Captain America' (Chris Evans) - The Black Widow' (Scarlett Johansson) and 'Hawkeye' (Jeremy Renner) with a little help of course, from 'Nick Fury' (Samuel L Jackson) as the battle to save mankind erupts onto the screen..........but can the Avengers really prevent 'Ultron' from imposing his will ?? This again a splendid visual spectacle filled with numerous superb action sequences. 'AVENGERS' - INFINITY WAR The Avengers are joined by many an ally in the fight against evil when a threat that affects all emerges in the shape of Thanos played by Josh Brolin, a intergalactic despot who with the help of his lieutenants aims to collect all six infinity stones to enhance his power and inflict his will on all. The Avengers which include Iron Man (Robert Downey jnr) Thor (Chris Hemsworth) Spider Man (Tom Holland) The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) and The Black Widow (Scarlett Johannson) are joined by Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) along with The Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) as well as Star Lord (Chris Pratt) and his illustrious crew and Vision (Paul Bettany) these just a few of the many who join the fight. All these and more will risk their lives to save the very existence of all they hold dear. Surely they will prevail ? This an action-packed 'sci-fi' spectacle which embraces wall-to-wall stunning visual-effects....this film in my opinion far and away the most exciting must-see Marvel presentation to date. 'AVENGERS' - ENDGAME The film smashing all box-office records in terms of income, Avatar slipping into second place, Titanic third. Would be interesting if a count of bums on seats when each of the films including The Sound Of Music was available for comparison....obviously blockbusters such as these including Endgame released at very different times. As I am no longer able to go to the cinema to watch the films as I once did, I have been looking forward to this one, especially after the brilliant Infinity Wars. In this, we see Iron Man(Robert Downey Jr)and Nebula (Karen Gillan) who have been stranded in deep space since the battle several days ago, saved by prospective Avengers new recruit Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers) The surviving Avengers join forces with Captain Marvel to recover the stones from Thanos (Josh Brolin) who claims to have destroyed them. Five years pass, the remaining Avengers now a shadow of what they once were continue to mourn the loss of so many friends and fellow heroes. However, they reluctantly unite behind an idea that Scott Lang/Antman (Paul Rudd) who has escaped from the Quantum Realm proposes - what if they could go back in time? could they change the course of events and bring those lost back? Technology that doesn't really exist, however putting their minds to it a machine is assembled to do just that. Now with a very out of condition Thor (Chris Hemsworth) along with a very different Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) Captain America (Chris Evans) Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) War Machine (Don Cheadle) Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) join Iron Man and Antman in a mission to find the Infinity Stones keeping them out of the clutches of Thanos, preventing the loss of so many and the destruction of the infrastructure of much of the Universe. To do so, many dangers will have to be faced including another head-on-clash with Thanos and the forces at his beckon-call. Will the past be restored? Will all of those on the quest survive? A superb follow-up to Infinity War, maybe not what I anticipated having avoided being told of events, but, exciting stuff indeed, action-packed coupled with the usual array of dazzling CGI. With its star-studded cast-list, certainly a must for Marvel/Super-Hero fans. ...... Most almost certainly will of course choose 'INFINITY WAR' as their favourite in the Avengers series, as I myself would....however, overall a truly great action-packed spectacle, A MUST SEE (and indeed re-watch on 4k ideal if you can) Review: A great product and experience - All good, came on time, a great product and experience, no problems
