When I finally got around to keep a pet jumping spider I finally ordered one of these. I know it's a 'toy', but it's pretty useful for catching those flies that laze around my window screen. I suck up about 3 or 4, then plop the container into the freezer for a few minutes to put the flies to sleep and then drop them all into my spider's enclosure! Free food! It's also cool for gathering up those scarier bugs that I really don't want to mess with (the occasional desert scorpion) and bring them back outside. Love this thing!

My kids have wanted this thing for years. Finally caved and purchased. The vacuum action stopped working the first day. Some wire got disconnected inside. My husband had to take apart and fix it. It’s working now. The kids like it when they can use it. Need to be careful not to suck in dirt.

I purchased this for my niece’s 5th birthday. She is a bug enthusiast and was excited to use it. Unfortunately, the vacuum didn’t work. Thanks to Amazon, it was easy enough to send back & get a replacement, and the replacement worked fine. If you’re giving this as a gift, I recommend opening it in advance, installing batteries and checking to make sure it works before you give it to a child. My niece was disappointed that her present didn’t work right from the get go. Once we got the replacement, she was very happy with it. She liked the bug container as much as she liked the bug vacuum. She needed help catching bugs with the vacuum, but she was thrilled to watch the bugs in the container.

I bought this for my 5 year old grandson, who just moved to a farm with the family. I wanted to get a birthday gift that would encourage him to explore and enjoy his new surroundings. Not only has he had fun with this, but his other 5 siblings have joined in on the fun! It provides the durability and performance to stand up to 6 kids finding and learning about insects. It sucks up bugs and allows the kids to see them up close. My 7 year old used to scream anytime a bug was spotted, but now excitedly runs for this and gets the bug. Both kids enjoy seeing the bugs up close, and then they let them go outside. It works as expected.

This birthday gift has surprised us and still gets great use.. We have actually used it many times when we come across little creepy crawlers in our house. When we see a spider my daughter grabs her device and we suck it up and let it go outside lol. It's pretty decent quality also.

Bought this for my granddaughter who’s very interested in looking at bugs. Don’t really know much about it as I live in uk and haven’t seen it. I’m positive my granddaughter is going to love this for her birthday. Very quick delivery and no problems as far as I know.
