This smells suspiciously like isopropyl alcohol - which is totally inappropriate in perfume-making. I’m wondering whether this has been mispackaged.

Hello, there is no chance of this getting mispacked as we don't stock IPA. The smell for both is very similar though as the perfumers alcohol is 90% alcohol and the IPA is 97-99% so both will just smell like alcohol.

can I use plastic bottle for this perfumer alcohol?

It comes in a plastic bottle so I don't see why not.

Correction, sorry - Perfumers alcohol is 84% dentured enthanol. The mixture is made up with - Denatured Ethanol, Isopropyl Myristate & Monopropylene Glycol Ethanol (denatured) -Alcohol which is the main carrier for the fragrance oils. This evaporates quickly as it is warmed by skin temperature releasing the fragrances evenly over the surface. Isopropyl myristate - used in preparations where good absorption is desired. Monopropylene glycol - a co-solvent which allows the fragrance oils to be solubilised in the alcohol carrier. This helps to control the evaporation of the alcohol so that it does not flash off too quickly.

Is this phthalate free?

I have checked the container and I cannot find any phthalates in it.

Best one

I have used several other brands to make perfumes, this is hands down the best! The other brands all had a certain smell…that spoiled the overall end product. This one doesn’t and mixes with the oils lovely. This is the absolute best!

Great, does the job

I tried alternative, I tried to use organic food grade pure ethanol to make perfumes, I followed all instructions with oils, distilled water and it was a disaster. I had to come back to this formula because it is the only one so far that works for me and makes good perfumes. I make sure that my oils are cruelty free, organic and vegan
