LOVE, love, love this coffee maker. Cant tell you how many others I have sitting in my garage to give away. This is perfectly simple and does everything it is supposed to do in a beautiful and tasty way! Makes awesome coffee in a jiffy and does not have a huge footprint on the counter, very compact. Cant go wrong with this machine!

I was flabbergasted by a previous review of this coffee maker, entitled "I HATE this coffee maker." So, I decided to write a response. I am not affiliated with Braun. I purchased this coffee maker, I love it, and I simply believe that the previous review is unfair. So, here we go: The reviewer wrote: "My biggest gripe: The water level indicator for the reservoir is inside the reservoir with some sort of stepped dip stick of sorts. You are suppose to look into this dark reservoir and see the level of the water against this indicator." LOL. No. The carafe that comes with this coffee maker is clearly marked, making the "dip stick" markers inside the unit redundant. One needs only to fill the *carafe* to the desired level, then pour the water into the machine. It is NEVER necessary to "look into the dark reservoir." The Reviewer wrote: "…a 1 to 4 cup setting that is never explained fully. Instructions say to use this feature if you are making 1 to 4 cups. […] Absolutely NO description of what it does. Does it brew faster, slower, more water, less water; who knows." Well, it's obvious that the "1-4" setting is for a shorter brew time. So, what further information is required? If you're making as few as 1-4 cups, press the button—and the machine will adjust accordingly. If you're making 5 or more cups, don't press the button! It's literally that simple. The reviewer wrote: "None of the manufactures [sic] make it clear what type of filter they use. Braun included." That is simply false. The second sentence under "About this item" is: "The Braun gold-tone filter enhances the flavour of your coffee." The filter type is also mentioned both on Braun's web site and on the product's box. It's mentioned everywhere. The reviewer wrote: "Braun decided to make it difficult to fill using the carafe. The lid on the carafe and the lid coffee maker are in the way of each other and prevent a decent pour resulting in water all over the burner and counter sometimes." I have no clue why the above was written. I've been using this coffee maker several times a day for weeks. I have no problem pouring water into the machine, and I have literally never spilled even a drop of water. The reviewer wrote: "The coffee maker has an auto shutoff too. Always a nice feature when you forget to turn it off manually. And this maker has an adjustable time for the auto off. The problem is you have to turn the auto off feature on in order for it to work. Great! A feature for the forgetfulness that requires you to remember." NOTE: This coffee maker shuts off *automatically*—WITHOUT the need to press the button. The button is required *only* if you want to specify a *specific time* for it to shut off. Otherwise, just make your coffee, then go about your business, and the coffee maker will shut itself off—100% of the time. The reviewer wrote: "Update: I have been using this coffee maker for a couple of weeks now and felt compelled to update this review. I HATE THIS COFFEE MAKER!!!" […] "I have changed the 3 stars to 1 and the review title to more accurately reflect how I feel about this piece." Well, every issue that the reviewer mentioned is addressed in the manual—or in this rebuttal—and not one of those issues is a problem in the least. For the record, before purchasing, I searched high and low—and finally chose ths coffee maker. And it's fantastic! Five stars!

I purchased mine November of 2016 and it still works like new. If you're looking for a dependable easy to use coffee maker this is it. Makes a regular or bold cup of delicious coffee. Keep warm feature has three heat settings. Clean light automatically comes on when it's time for descaling. Has a filter for the water. Easy to use clock settings with automatic start feature. Uses #4 cone filters and comes with a gold cone filter. Great coffee maker well worth the price.

I purchased this unit in December of 2024 and the Auto Brew function failed to function in March of 2026 so I essentially got full functionality of the unit for 16 months. Sadly, I really loved every other aspect of this coffee maker. It consistently brews an excellent urn of coffee and as I drink a lot of coffee through the day, the stay warm timer that extends the hot plate time up to 5 hours was a great convenience. Brew speed was excellent.

I’ve had this coffee msker for several months and I love it. Makes a perfect tasting cup. It heats the coffee perfectly and fast. The reusable filter is fantastic and easy to clean. I tap out the coffee grounds and give a quick rinse and it’s ready for the next pot. This small appliance is durable and solid construction. And it looks classy on the counter. I typically use a French press but purchased this for when I have visitors. I’m finding that I am using this machine more often because it’s very convenient.

Hello, we purchased this coffee maker in July 2024 and had continuous problems for the last 4 months. The issue we experienced involved cleaning the machine, being forced to clean the machine, the cleaning button coming on without prompting and constant delays in actually making coffee. The machine continually went into cleaning mode by itself while we awaited coffee. We were forced to clean this machine over five times in 4 months of very little usage. We contacted customer support once by phone and a gentleman at Braun helped us reset the clean button, however the problem continued and when we attempted to contact Braun again, we reached Ronnie at Braun customer support for a refund by email. We received only a generic cleaning response and he did not address any of our concerns regarding a solution, just acted like it never happened. This type of unaccountability is what is causing us to respond now on Amazon and leaves no room to continue to work with this company moving forward. This machine seems to be the overall pick at Amazon, however, in our experience, this coffeemaker was the most troublesome coffee maker we ever had in over five decades, often leaving us with hot, cleaning water instead of coffee. Most importantly, we had no recourse for refund, replacement or return and we have been essentially ignored regarding any request for a solution. In closing, over $109.00 was spent for a coffee maker that has not worked properly since purchase and only used for four months and instead of showing us the courtesy of any solution, Ronnie at Braun acted like our complaint never happened in his email response. We have tossed this coffee maker in the garbage due to it being more hassle than it is worth and purchased a new coffeemaker from a company that will actually stand behind their products. Respectfully, stay away from Braun until they hire new leadership. Thanks, Eric

S far, we really like this Braun coffee maker. It makes very good coffee, with options for auto on auto off, strength of coffee, warming plate, temperature, number of cups to be brewed, etc. it took me a while to get everything figured out, but I think I have it now! The coffee maker is sleek, looking and compact. I’ve been using the gold filter rather than using paper filters, and the coffee is great. Easy to clean up as well. I did quite a bit of hunting for a coffee maker this time. I have been using a Keurig K cup machine and was tired of the expense of the pods as well as the amount of waste I was creating and having to get rid of. Try out the Braun Brew Sense!

Okay, let me first off say I LOVE this coffee maker!! It took me a few years, and coffee makers of 5 different brands to finally come back to Braun. My old Braun, that was my father's and was handed down to me, hung in there a total 15 years of constant brewing excellence. But when it came time to replace her, costs for a new Braun were astronomical!! I wish I had just gone ahead and not wasted the time and money with the others. This brewer is definitely a great brewer for the "Under $100.00" bracket buyer. One, it just LOOKS damn good on the counter-top and uses a smaller footprint than most. Second, no escaping steam while brewing. Seems Braun figured out how not to ruin your cabinetry with the brewer steam by forcing it BACK into the brewing area. Three, ease of set up and use,...self explanatory, EASY!! Four, Makes an excellent pot of coffee. Yes, it does!!! I had evidently forgotten what a good cup of morning Joe tasted like for years in this house,...TILL NOW!!! I am the only coffee drinker in this house, unless we have guests, so I require good coffee. Welll,..I now know what has been missing in my day. REAL BREWED COFFEE!! Five, do yourself a favor, buy a slider to pull the maker out and slide back in. It takes up even less space that way. Six, cone filters, yes, cone filters!!! Throw out those basket filters right now!! If you want a really GOOD soak on your ground coffee. a cone filter is the way to go. Seven, it's quiet. Yes, quiet,... stealth quiet compared to others I have owned. I didn't even realize it had completed the cycle except for a beep. Eight, did I mention it looks damned impressive in a kitchen?? Nine, multi brew choice and heat (pot) choice. Ten, easy to set up for morning wake up pot of Joe. Eleven, well made compared to most I have seen that were much more expensive and/or cheaper. Twelve, read the other reviews,...but I'm a bit skeptical of the negative ones. After reading some of the bad reviews and getting mine, I thought, "Really?". Basically, I am VERY pleased with my Braun KF7150BK Coffee Maker and no, I didn't get any compensation or get mine for free. Just a very happy coffee drinker singing this coffee maker's praises so MAYBE I can help someone else find their perfect coffee maker. OH, by the way,...this was a "refurbished" Braun even!!! Didn't even have the plastic opened inside!!!

Really happy with this coffee maker. The coffee tastes great and stays hot without tasting burnt. I like the Bold option and the pause feature when I want to grab a cup before it’s done. It’s simple to use, easy to clean, and looks nice on the counter. Good quality for the price. I definitely recommend it.

La cafetera es bellísima, tanto el diseño como la construcción y detalles son muy bonitos. Es muy intuitiva y rápida: en más o menos 14 minutos hace toda la jarra de café. El filtro es permanente así que no hay necesidad de estar contaminando con filtros desechables. Tiene buena capacidad, el sistema de auto encendido funciona perfectamente. Tiene función para elegir el grado de dureza del agua. La jarra es muy bonita, fácil de limpiar y todos los aditamentos son aptos para lavavajillas. El reloj es bastante grande y claro, si la energía eléctrica se corta o la desconectas para limpiarla, cuentas con hasta un minuto sin energía antes de que se pierda la programación lo cual es muy auxiliar. La temperatura que alcanza es ideal. La placa de calefacción ayuda a que el café se mantenga caliente por mucho tiempo, si el tanque está vacío, se puede encender la cafetera y la placa se calentará para recalentar el café, es una función muy útil. El único contra que le pongl es que con la función de 1-4 tazas, si el depósito de agua está lleno, no se detiene, seguirá produciendo café así que es importante solo llenar el depósito con la cantidad exacta de café a preparar, fuera de ello, el resto es perfecto. Muy contento con la compra.

I originally bought the Krups which was ok but made an aweful and high pitched beep for about 8 seconds when I pressed brew at 5am.... so rude! Then I chose this brand and model to replace it and couldn’t be happier! Got it way discounted from amazon warehouse deal, sometimes you get junk but this was a great buy! So many features and options and I don’t understand why people complain about not having a see through water detector... just fill the pot to how many cups you want and pour it in....it is a very nice looking machine although the lights are all green and I wish they were blue, but every button lights up which is nice so you see what setting you are using. It can stay hot up to 5hiurs with auto off setting and it makes amazing coffee. Love that it stops brewing mid brew so I can pour a coffee and it won’t leak everywhere. It’s easy to clean and I would buy it again and recommend it to everyone! Arrived a few days late and thought it wasn’t lost, but was so happy when it came because it was $60 less than brand new even thought it came in the box and wrapped/twist tied and plasticity like it was brand new!

Looks good. Easy to operate and makes a good cup of coffee. Being able to adjust the temperature of the warming plate is a nice feature. My experience is that I can leave the coffee on the lower setting and it does not turn the coffee bitter as quickly as other products we have used. Not sure but I think after brewing is complete and the pot is removed the maker may allow a drip on to the warmer plate as there are occassions when there is a sizzling sound when the pot is returned.
