it's much better and way longer lasting
It is very light. If you use the color first and then the CLEAR gloss as a sealer, it's much better and way longer lasting. This is pretty much a one layer use. It does not seal the color as the clear glosses do. It does smear a little easier too. You can buy a much less expensive gloss for the use of this. I was thinking it was as good a sealer over the color as the clear gloss is and it is not. It's okay by itself, but it is very very light with flecks of iridescent in it and not long lasting at all.
