Deception
The Final Deception is another great book by Heather. The plot will draw you in and keep you reading until the end. Lots of diverse characters that you'll wonder who to believe and trust. The ending has lots of twists.

Aside from one important caveat, this entry in the NY Confidential series iss well worth the time.
As always, Heather Graham has written a gripping mystery/thriller/romance. I really enjoy the NY Confidential stories, as I do the Krewe of Hunters series. I would have given this 5 stars except for one thing: Ms. Graham used the name of a real church denomination (Unitarian) and equated it with her fictional one, calling it "fundamentalist" but portraying it as harshly strict. Although there are fundamentalist groups that fit into that category, not all do, but more importantly, the Unitarians are actually a very liberal group, perhaps the most liberal of all. Generally her research is rather good, so I have no idea why she made such an egregious error in this case.

+5 for this New York Confidential novel
It was great to read another novel with protagonists Kieran Finnegan and Craig Frazier. The plot was very and I never guessed the outcome until the very ending. It definitely sucked me right in and kept me reading until I finished the book. The ending was beautiful and romantic.

Kieran & Craig are on the trail of a serial killer
Kieran, a psychologist who is asked to talk to a man who admits killing people who he believes are witches, and her fiancée Craig (who is an FBI agent) become embroiled in the attempt to apprehend the man after he escaped custody. Kieran is convinced that the murders committed after the escape were not committed by this man but were they? With a few twists and turns, the mystery is solved. Even I was surprised!

Enjoyed the partnership of the good guys in this storyline
For me, I struggled a bit with the motive in this mystery. I had a hard time grasping the implication of the building ownership driving the murderers as well as the complex planning required to control someone dealing with psychosis

Good Ending Story for New York Confidential Series
I believe this is the last book in the New York Confidential Series. Kieran and Craig are back at it again chasing a murder suspect called The Fireman. Finnegan’s Pub is part of this story as the folks there get involved as well. I am sorry to see this series end but hopefully a new series will be out soon. I can't get a enough of Heather Graham.

Disappointed in this book
I was looking forward to this book but was very disappointed with it. Kieran Finnegan, now the fiancee of FBI Special Agent Craig Frasier has to interview a vicious killer known as The Fireman who killed his victims then set fire to them. Now he has escaped and the hunt is on. I am not surprised that Kieran found herself with all sorts of problems. She has to keep interfering despite being asked not to by Craig. The ending was a complete if improbable surprise. I like this author, but was really disappointed with this latest offering, and Kieran was very irritating, so off putting.
