The absolute best low flow spray!
We needed a new showerhead, and ended up decreasing our flow from a 1.75 gpm Niagara showerhead to this High Sierra 1.5gpm showerhead. However, it honestly feels like more pressure due to the droplet spray pattern. We rarely even use the full 1.5gpm spray, as we still get a great shower experience with the included shutoff valve partially closed! The shutoff valve is awesome for bathing our dog and our young kids. It would also be great if you are trying to get a lot of showers in a row out of a limited hot water tank, as you can shut off the water while soaping up. We don't do that often right now, but it's a great option to have for the future. My wife (who is shorter) loves it because there isn't a "missing middle". She always struggled when cleaning her hair on the normal "outside ring" stream shower heads, as she had to move around to get her whole head wet. Now, the whole spray area is full of water! The water does cool down a bit faster further from the showerhead since it is in droplets instead of a stream. However this just makes the shower air a bit steamier and warmer overall, so it's not really a con, just different! This shower head (and any other variety of it) is well worth the money. It is well built - all metal that will probably will last a lifetime - and it will eventually pay for itself with what you will save on water (and water heating)!Less water used, with a feeling of more water pressure! Good for you, your wallet, and the environment.

To work, must buy more products.
It would have been nice knowing I couldn’t use this without buying other parts to get it hooked up. There were no fittings of any kind, just simply the head…that DOESNT attach to my standard shower. No clue on the quality, because I cannot use it until I go the Lowe’s to find a way to hook it up.

Work of Art
High Sierra's Solid Metal Handheld Shower Head with Trickle Valve, 2.0 GPM - Stunning Chrome Finish:This thing is a work of art. You know immediately when you pick it up that you've bought something special. It doesn't look like anything else. It doesn't feel like anything else. This is a beast. It is solid metal and it weighs quite a lot, although it is very well balanced in the hand. What's more, even though it weighs more than the big shower head I had, it does not tilt down under its own weight.Flow. I bought the 2.0 GPM because we have lost some water pressure locally and I didn't want to lose any more. But it turns out, I might not have needed all of that. This is a little different than what you're probably used to. It just blows water out at you in what might seem like random spray - as opposed to the well organized streams of a typical shower head. At first I felt a little lack of enthusiasm for this, mostly because I'd never had it like this before. So I got in. I was immediately soaked. I was impressed. As my shower went on, I put my face right underneath it and it seemed a little intense. That's when I discovered the beauty of the Trickle Valve!I gave the Trickle Valve so little thought because every single similar valve in any shower head I've owned in the past has leaked. It's been a hard 'switch' type feature that never really worked well enough to ever use, and so I was used to ignoring them. So imagine my surprise and delight when I pushed this one and found that it was a highly effective valve that gradually shut the water to off! Seriously! I now have the shower head running at somewhere between 1/2 and 1/3 capacity and it stays there, firmly. I just reduced the flow until it felt good on my face (probably 3" from the head) and left it! And that feels like it will be enough for my entire shower. There are some things that will take some getting used to. First of all, this shower head is kind of loud. Now I might be a little more sensitive than most because I work with audio for a living, but it is definitely louder than any other shower head I've had. It's a constant SSHHHHHH like the sound of someone shushing - not like water. This I believe is an aerator effect and what is interesting is when I stuck my finger into the end of it, it completely changed the output. I could actually tell how low the flow was and the sound stopped but was right back to normal when I removed my finger.Secondly, the 'chaotic' presentation of the water. When you've only ever known organized streams of water, to have this comparatively wild thrust of water gives me the sense that a mess is imminent. It is not and I think I can get use to that.Neither of these things is a deal breaker and not enough to take away a star, especially when you put it in your hand and feel the quality craftsmanship. Built in USA. Great job folks! Thank you! Sure, it costs a little more, but I really don't mind. You get what you pay for.

Couldn't believe this only used 1.5/gpm
I replaced my 2.5/gpm shower head with The High Sierra 1.5/gpm head because we recently replaced our water heater; going from an 80 gallon tank to a 50 gallon tank. The idea is to make the hot water last longer by using less of it with the lower flow shower head. The pressure of the High Sierra head was better than the 2.5/gpm head. After the first use I filled a bucket for 1 minute to prove to myself that it is actually using less water. It measured exactly 1.5 gallons in 1 minute. It is much sturdier and heavy duty than the plastic models. I highly recommend this product.

Not for me , but still a quality product
First of like all reviews , this is only MY opinion. The build of the shower head is very high quality metal. And it's all metal. And it did retain heat during the shower quite well. Unfortunately my being used high pressure showers , this showerhead wasn't for me. It does get you wet and makes you feel like you are in the rain so to speak , but not torrential feeling rain due to it being a low flow showerhead. Again this is my opinion , because I'm used to Korean showerheads. With that said I am giving the high Sierra 5 stars , because even tho it's not for me it is still a high quality product.
