CASTLECREEK Canopied 3-Person Porch Swing

I would actually rate this around 3 1/2 stars. It isn't bad for the price, but nothing to write home to momma about either. It feels relatively flimsy in comparison to a similar LOOKING swing I had from Lowes years ago. We moved and my husband didn't want to transport it and I thought "how hard can it be to find another just like it?" Apparently very :( since that was 6 years ago and I just bough this a few months back. As I said, this one looks pretty much the same but doesn't feel as well built. When there are 3 people on at one time it squeaks loudly and I can pick it up and move it (a 5'8 130 pound woman) all by myself when I mow (which in some ways is actually a plus). That being said, I rated it a little higher because I live around the Outer Banks of North Carolina (i.e. Hurricane country) where we get A LOT of high winds and even more rain and it has held up nicely. No rips in the canopy and because I shove it into divets I made with the feet it hasn't blown over/away. It looks exactly like the picture shows and because of the sling material, I can sit on it within 30 minutes of a rainfall and not get wet. All in all, it was worth the money and I do enjoy having a swing again!

I was completely pleased with this swing... Except after spending 2 hrs putting it together, the last step was the canopy, no canopy. I thought "no problem. I will contact them and have them send me one". WRONG! They told me to return it. What??? I spent 2 hrs out in the heat fighting bugs to put that thing up for my mom because it was her BIRTHDAY! I explained to them that taking down my moms birthday present was not an option. The swing is great. She loves it. But me and my brother paid for her to have a canopy too. Once again they said " then ship it back." I have shopped on amazon for years without problems, this is the first time i feel like it was my turn to get ripped off. I sent the company another message and remain hopeful that they will do something to make this right. But after 2 weeks my hope is growing thinner every day.Update. The company came though for me so i am changing my rating. They contacted me and offered to give me a refund that i am hopefully going to be able to buy a replacement canopy for! As long as mom has a canopy to keep the leaves and rain off, i dont care if it is perfect. All in all, i was ready to give up, and be unhappy with the whole experience. But they came through! It might not be perfect.. But they tried, and made it acceptable. That means a lot! So i am changing my bad review accordingly.

Box arrived demolished, but the contents were OK. I was expecting the typical Chinese "missing parts" and poor paint job routine, but was pleasantly surprised. The quality is actually pretty good; the seat is suspended by springs instead of being directly connected, the fabric is taut and has no flaws, all the parts were included right down to the plastic acorn beauty caps to cover all the nuts, and everything fit the first time! A nice surprise and a good value for the money.Only gripe: the assembly instructions are next to worthless. However, there are very few parts and it's pretty obvious how things fit together.I like this set because of its low profile compared to large wooden 'A' frames. It fits well under a particular shade tree I enjoy. I didn't assemble the canopy because I don't want my view of the sky blocked. I would purchase again for a similar situation.

Delivery was good and the swing feels solid and sturdy, however it was missing some screws that I had to find at Home Depot. So I ask, will it really hurt vendors to double check that all the screws/parts of a product are in the box before shipping? I would give them a 5 but for the missing screws. I do think for the price it's a good deal; as for comfort, I personally like bit more cushion on my swing but I also appreciate that it doesn't soak up water and the mesh seating doesn't hold in heat. I didn't like the metal separation between the seat portion - you can feel that if you sit on them. I think the height on this swing is higher than my other swings were but that's not a problem for me because it stops the little ones from swinging like they are on a park swing!

I absolutely love this swing. The frame is sturdy and light, the seat is comfortable, and I'm not going to feel bad about it being out in the elements. I was greatly disappointed with the canopy; the back pockets were not attached so we couldn't attach it to the frame. We tried the hillbilly method of duct tape and amateur sewing skills to attach it ourselves, but they failed. I'm not going to sit on this swing with the canopy half-attached and hitting my head. I tried contacting Castlecreek to ask if they could send a replacement canopy, but no response.

I have been looking for a swing to replace my old mesh swing I bought at a major big brand hardware store 12 years ago. That thing withstood the heat of Alabama summers and the heavy snows of Northern WI winters. This, I was looking for something similar and from the one picture online this product seemed to be a close match. Unfortunately it is not. I don’t think it is the seller’s fault however.The biggest fault is the sunshade. In the pictures it looks as if it is the same strong durable mesh as on the seats. That is exactly what I was looking to get. Even in a user picture it looks stronger than what I now have. The reality is the material on the sunshade is rather thin and not stiff at all. I am really concerned about this taking a snowfall or even a heavy wind. I may need to keep the swing and attach it to my old frame to get what I want.The seat is good quality mesh material and will dry quickly (exactly as I wanted), the directions were good, and all the parts were in the box and in good condition.I just feel- likely at not fault to the seller- that I got an updated but not as durable version. That, or the photos online don’t show the product correctly.
