We use this for hanging a light from the tent roof when we are camping. It works a treat. It is fairly priced and is good quality too. The length of the cable is very handy. The on/off switch is good and makes camping more like a home from home with good lighting...

The lead could have been a bit longer as i use it for a loft light but good otherwise .

Bought for a cupboard with no light switch and it lights it all up once plugged in. The wire is quite long and the on/off switch is about 2 feet from the plug which is ideal for my use as not bending down to far and not having to stretch either. Just make sure you put it somewhere that you can get access to turn off and on. Measure the distance from the plug to where you want to place the bulb before purchasing so you know it is suitable. Would buy again and would recommend.

I bought this to help me in the springtime to support an E27 grow lamp above my vegetable seedlings in a spare bedroom. So, for the moment, I have only tested it - and it works perfectly! I've tried other grow lamp designs but this is going to be really helpful to me. Not least, as the wire (and grow lamp) will be supported by the design of the lampshade directly above the bed. Now I've just got to hope the wife doesn't change the lampshade before next spring! :) Of course, at 4m long, I'm confident others will find other uses for this item. The item is very well built, and has an excellent in-line switch. Can't fault it, so does come highly recommended.

very handy to use

For the money this is a perfectly acceptable quality item, but clearly cheaply made, judging by the quality of the plastics on the switch and plug. The cable isn't the thickest either, and I found I hade to be careful when stripping the wires to change the bayonet fitting, but if you aren't doing that it's fine, and comes with a nice little hanging kit.
