Rds 72745 - Combo Auxiliary Fuel Tank With Fuel Filler Shroud

The first tank that was ordered never showed up on delivery day and was returned damaged. Amazon was kind enough to honor the awesome price I had gotten ($330 off) on the new order and sent out a new one.Tank arrives in a flimsy box, mine was fine there was no damage but I can see how the tanks could get beat up in transit. First impressions on the tank were good. All aluminum so it is going to last, I had to adjust the latches because one side would not close properly but it was a minor fix. The welds are a little messy in spots but these are nitpicks, this tank is going to sit in the back of my truck for the next decade or two, it is nice enough looking and sturdy enough that I am not concerned about it lasting.Install is very easy once you get over the idea that you are cutting into your fill line. I used a saws-all and the accompanying part (not included) fits perfectly for my 2018 Ram 3500. The rest is very simple, bolt, run the fuel line and done. I have filled the tank and so far no leaks. I will update this post if I have any issues.First big trip will be in December as we head to Florida for the winter. The 91 gal tank will pay for itself on fuel savings, not having to stop at expensive truck stops all the time or fill up in expensive states. We not have 120+ gal of diesel and a much safe margin range wise when traveling.

Great tank. Installed with RDS install kit into my 2015 F350. Fits full size Ford box pretty well, with room on each side to drill mounting & feed tube holes into bed. Could hear manufacturing slag inside of tank, so installed a Kubota in-line diesel filter, but still very clean after several tanks used. Will stick up about one inch above Ford bed rails, since I have a BedRug under it which raises it a little, but a flush hard bed cover will not fit over it. Comes with a shut off ball valve on left side. I (200lbs +) can stand on top edges, but toolbox is thinner aluminum than tank itself under toolbox. 91 extra gallons are sweet. Think about installing other acessories first, like a headache rack with post hole mounts. Left a little room for that. Should have made box lid hinge a little bit aft to save a few inches in front. Mounts with 3 angle tabs on bottom sides & rear. They did not seal fuel fill section on left side, so I have rags in there to prevent spills running down sides. Note that with this installed in a long bed, you will have less length left than a short bed box. Amazon had best price, & arrived un-damaged.

Tank arrived as promised. Had a small dent in the top but no dent in the carton suggesting that it was shipped that way. Otherwise seems like a quality aux fuel tank. Overall, we're satisfied.

This product had a leak in the threads at the bottom left rear drain. Had to have this fixed at my cost. Tank still has a leak if you fill it all the way up can only fill it three Fourths full.

This is the worse tool box, I have ever seen. The workmanship is so bad, That wouldn't know where to start. All I will say is that if you are thinking about buying this product, DON'T, You have been warned.
