I have a 7kw core power as is on the label of the box but the contents were incorrect.

I've been using this kit since my Generac 5837, 7K generator was installed in 2012.And like one's car it is always good to do regular maintenance on the generator to keep it running smoothly. The kit, contrary to the picture, contains the correct smaller ellipse shaped air filter, spark plug, oil filter, a collapsible single-use cardboard funnel, and an absorbant work cloth. Although oil filters and plugs can be purchased separately for this unit I could never find the air filters sold anywhere except in this kit. So I have been buying the kits which actually makes purchasing of these necessities easier. One purchase and I have everything I need except the oil I will be using. Pretty nice. :-) I named my little emergency core generator 'The Baby' because of its smaller size and output. And as my baby I want it to stay well for when I need its support, without any unecessary crying or having to call the Generac doctor for it in between uses. Therefore regular use of a maintenence kit is good medicine to give one a better chance of a continued, healthy baby generator. Best of luck with your backup Gens!

It's been a while since this item was reviewed, and ignoring the nonsensical 1-star below, this kit gives you everything needed to service your Core Power 7kw. The only thing that would make it better is if the spark plug came pre-gapped to 0.030. But it doesn't, so be prepared to have or purchase yourself a Spark Plug Gap Gauge (they're cheap).My installer was charging $300 a year to do this maintenance biannually. Forget about it! All you need besides this kit is the gapper noted above is a 5/8 spark plug socket to remove the/replace RC12YC plug, a bottle to hold a bit over a quart of used oil, some fresh 10W30, and about 30 minutes of your time.Google the Generac diagnostic service manual, as I'm assuming the reviews gods will sanitize this URL: [...]
