These silverettes have single handedly saved my breast pumping journey. We have a baby in the NICU so I’m EBP and I left my silverettes at home one time for 2 days and I was so raw and bleeding I cried and drove an hour and a half home to get them because they provide so much relief. Mine are a little bigger and cover areola as well but I think they fit perfectly because they prevent any irritation of the area. I put them in my bottle washer with the rest of my pumping parts and they come out perfectly clean every time. I thought I lost them once and immediately ordered a second pair because I really cannot live without these! They’re pricy but worth every single penny!

Silverettes SAVED me. I always saw people write that they swear by them, yada yada, but honestly I never really knew what these were for. The first two weeks postpartum was brutal breastfeeding - I had sore, painful nipples all the time and I would constantly wake up from soreness and leaking. Nipple cream wasn't cutting it and I wanted to give up from all the pain. I decided to try silverettes and they quite literally saved my nipples. Suddenly the pain went away and never came back.I wear them 24/7 despite it saying not to, but I try to let my nipples breathe for 5-10 minutes after pumping or breastfeeding to give them some time to breathe. I don't use any nipple cream, just nursing pads and then silverettes over them. Wearing them to sleep was probably what healed my nipples for good. I was constantly leaking also and this helped me leak less as well. Highly recommend for any mom who is breastfeeding!Now I'm 10 weeks pp and I still wear them to sleep (I think I'm addicted) but I don't wear them during the day at all! I could probably go at night without them but I feel like they help me leak less also.

If you're breastfeeding, get these. Regardless if you have suffered nipple trauma or not, these are great for preventative reasons too. Anyway, here's my opinion and experience being a new mummy.-I thought breastfeeding was natural and easy. Wrong. I quickly had cracked and bleeding nipples that escalated into an even worse injury. How could it get worse? My sweet daughter, who I quickly named my little snapping turtle, had chewed off layers and layers of skin. I didn't even know this was possible. It looked like I was missing parts of my nipple. So now I'm laying in bed at 3am, shuddering at my daughters hunger cries, bc I knew I had to feed her, but was having to lay myself down at the breastfeeding alter to do so. For three weeks I suffered and cried. In that time I have tried every trick in the book... creams galore, saline soaks, APNO cream, etc. nothing was helping me heal bc it I literally had huge, open wounds (yep, ended up getting mastitis too). Finally, my mum found these cups. These little miracle cups. The first day I put them on, I could not only put on a shirt, but also felt relief bc I could see healing take place. It was as if the clouds parted and angels started singing. I have only taken them off to feed her and will continue to wear them throughout this journey bc it's preventing future problems. Since my daughter was severely lip/tongue tied and had surgery to fix it, still takes time to retrain her mouth and get a good latch. So even though her latch isn't perfect, I can still breastfeed with ease bc these cups help prevent injury while still helping me heal.I know that is a super long rating, but i feel so passionate about this product I wanted to share my whole story so you can get an accurate picture of how valuable this product is.So you might be wondering if there's any cons. Yes, sometimes they do leave a slight ring from compression. Small price to pay in my opinion and regardless of compression, I still find them very comfortable to wear. Added bonus, it protects my nipple from rubbing on my bra or nursing pad. Also, other reviews say you look like Madonna...Maybe if you wear super thin shirt with a bra that has zero padding. But I honestly haven't had that experience. I just wear them with my nursing pads in between my bra and cups and you can't tell. So that's it. The only two possible cons. So invest in these. I'm telling you, it saved me and allowed me to continue to breastfeed.

These saved me! I'm telling any new Mom that's even thinking of pumping or breastfeeding to put these on their registry.Between at the hospital attempting to breastfeed every 1 to 2 hours and the LC at the hospital having me pumping after feeding to try and get my milk in, my nipples were destroyed within 2 days. The nipple cream the hospital provided was not enough. Late at night I was desperate for relief so I ordered the silverettes and with prime they came the next day, thank God!Just a couple drops of breastmilk in the silverette cups and 2-4 hours later and I already was feeling an improvement. The pain improved in less than a day and I was almost completely healed in a few days. These cups are very easy to use and very effective. I used these consistently but then read you're supposed to take a break every now and then to to air everything out, so keep that in mind. I use a 21mm flange for pumping so the XL size fit well and was comfortable. Product appearance is exactly as pictured.P.S. Everyone says "breastfeeding shouldn't hurt, pumping shouldn't hurt" ... Don't beat yourself up if you're having pain and don't expect to be pain free immediately. I delayed buying these because I kept thinking I'd be better soon. I regret that, I wish I just had them from the beginning! Some people have pain for a while, be patient and kind to yourself, it may take weeks but it will eventually get better.

These are AMAZING for breastfeeding moms! I have been wearing these for 6 weeks nonstop since my milk came in and they are worth every penny. The only times I take them off are when breastfeeding, pumping, or showering- after that I rub a little breast milk around in the nipple, let it dry, then pop these back on. When breastfeeding, the nipples can be very sore- even my arm brushing across them in the shower hurts- but once my silverettes are on I feel nothing. I have eczema so I was very nervous about the possibility of cracked, bleeding nipples since my skin already has issues without a baby feeding off them, but with my silverettes the only issue I've had was soreness due to an improper latch.After reading the sizing guide, I purchased the XL as that's where my measurements fell and they just cover my whole areola.A few things to note:1) I always wear them with a bra as they will pop off eventually without anything holding them on- they're not really suctioned on. 2) wear these with large nursing pads. Since milk collects in the silverettes before eventually spilling out, small nursing pads don't really have the surface area to contain the spill. 3)they do show through thin nursing bras (like ones meant for sleep and others that don't have more structured padding) but so do nursing pads. I've found that for me the best way to combat lumpy looking boobs is to either wear a more structured nursing bra with thicker padding or to simply add a bra pad ( the kind that are often removable in bras) in between the bra and the nursing pad and/or silverettes. 4) they're very thin and lightweight, but durable. I've dropped mine many times on my hard tile bathroom floor and still, no dents!I think ALL nursing moms should have these and they are worth more than their weight in silver! HIGHLY recommend!!UPDATE after 2nd child:Wore them occasionally with the 2nd breastfeeding child. I must be more calloused this time around because I didn't wear them constantly. Still found them useful when my nipples were sore due to improper latch. There are now a few dents from dropping them, but they still work fine. My conclusions: they're hands down essential for first time mom's. 2nd time mom's don't need them unless they want them for the occasional soreness or didn't breastfeed the first time. Those are my thoughts!

I love this product, it has gotten me through a really hard breastfeeding start BUT they do bend very easily. i’ve only had them for a month and one of them has a dent in it that causes it to pinch my skin. Not sure if that’s a defective thing but I’ve seen other reviews like it. I would still recommend buying them because I don’t think I could get through my day-to-day without them, but it is very expensive for something that only lasted in theory a month correctly

After my first week of breastfeeding I was very sore as my nipples began to crack, chafe, and one of them even began to bleed. No fun. While I think the price is pretty crazy I found these to be a good investment into my collection of breastfeeding must-haves.Realistically, I want women to know that this isn't some magical item that instantly heals your nips. It took several days to get back to a state where I didn't feel like my nips were going to shrivel up and fall off. Then approximately a week to where they looked normal again. I will say, however, within' the first day I did notice a difference.Also (and more importantly), while these are a great tool for anyone experiencing pain, injury, or simply preventing, it is not a solution! My breastfeeding journey with my first kiddo was rough to say the least and I wish I knew then what I know now with my second.If you are breastfeeding latch is so so SO important. There are plenty of videos you can watch for different holds and how to latch. Find what works best for you. But if you're struggling find a Lactation Consultant in your area, don't be afraid to ask for help.If you're pumping get fitted for the right flanges (I cannot stress this enough!). Don't just use the ones that come in your kit and don't just "deal" with the pain. I have completely painless pumping now and you can too.Edit Aug 2025: I'll be ending my breastfeeding journey this month and to anyone who is still reading this I wanted to add some tips:-I highly recommend getting a sanitizing nipple spray to go along with these. I had a few minor infections that cleared up within a week of using the shields and the spray together. Very helpful.-Hot showers at least 2 times a day helped ease soreness. But really take as many as you'd like.-I would wear them at night then alternate throughout the day on really sore days. Just remember to clean them.-I do not recommend wearing these while in public. They do show.

I got these about four weeks post-partum on the recommendation of my awesome IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant). She said they're big in Europe, and other Lactation Consultants she knew had been raving about them. They are pricy, but I was desperate -- my nipples were badly damaged from early latch issues, including several layers of tissue damage on one side (and missing tissue), bleeding wounds on both sides, plus persistent redness and soreness. Nursing and latching was going better, but my nipples just would not heal fast enough for me to not be in agony every time. I tried everything - Medihoney, Dr. Jack Newman's APNO by prescription, Earth Mama Angel Baby nipple butter, coconut oil, olive oil, exposing them to air, keeping them moist, saline rinses/soaks, sunlight, nipple shield (which promptly filled with blood when I tried using it). Nothing worked and I was almost ready to quit despite all the hard work we had done and the improvement in latching technique.So. Desperate, I got these babies. And within hours my nipples had gone from bright red and painful looking to light pink and almost normal looking. Hours. I couldn't believe my eyes. I showed my husband and he agreed they looked like new nipples. The pain relief was also immediate though I was still not pain-free. But after a few days of wearing them, my nipples had made huge progress in healing. I never took them off after that, wore them 24/7 (and still do at 10 weeks postpartum), and my nipples healed almost completely. (I say almost because the one with the many layers of tissue damage had some permanent trauma damage that left me with vasospasms about half the time, so it still sometimes hurts...but nothing like before, obviously.) These Silverettes saved my nursing relationship. Ever since, I have recommended them to every nursing mom I know who is struggling in the early days. And with future babies, I will start wearing them 24/7 maybe even before the birth.Some details:For care, I wash them twice a day with baking soda paste. I wear them with a bamboo breast pad over them to catch leaks (and make the Madonna-nipple look less prominent). They do fill up a bit on the non-nursing side if you have a big letdown, so watch out for that (or purchase a Milkie milk saver). The rims do cut a little bit into your areola if they are not positioned just right or if the rim is on a Montgomery Gland (little bump on the areola). When this happens I just adjust them to be more comfortable. My nipples seem a bit dry sometimes wearing them, and maybe a bit greyish like the silver is changing their color. But I don't care about any of the inconveniences. These things save my life. You'll have to pry them from my cold, dead hands if you want me to stop wearing them!!!! They basically saved my nursing relationship with my baby.That said, does anyone else who has worn them have tips on when you can stop wearing them, if ever? I've taken them off a couple of nights here and there when stomach sleeping, but otherwise I'm nervous to do so.

Silverettes saved my breastfeeding journey! My boobs/nips were ruineddd when breastfeeding my first baby & it made me give it up after a few weeks due to such extreme pain.Fast forward to my 2nd baby, and I used silverettes & breastfed her for a year. It honestly meant there was no nipple pain at all!!! I don’t know what kind of magic it is haha but it honestly healed the nips so perfectly between every feed.Genuine game changer! They’re expensive, but so worth it!!! Buy them!

These saved my breastfeeding journey. They’re a little flimsy in the sense that they bent while washing them and they’ve tarnished over time and I don’t know why. I will never regret buying them though, they’re much cheaper than formula feeding.

Mi hanno aiutato tantissimo per i dolori allucinanti delle ragadi al seno i primi mesi dell'allattamento. Non potevo stare senza cioè non le toglievo mai , nemmeno di notte, altrimenti il dolore del seno sui vestiti era insostenibile. Queste sono perfette perché sono più profonde rispetto ad altre che si trovano in commercio quindi non schiacciano il capezzolo. Grande aiuto per alleviare il dolore ma non mi hanno curata, quello che mi ha curata è stato un olio, ma fino a quando non l'ho trovato queste coppette mi hanno salvato la vita.
