Lang Tools13800 Digital Pocket Thermometer, Black

I like this thermometer my mechanic uses it to test the temperature of AC so I got one so I could test it on my car my daughter's car, I will still like to have it so I can check the temperature inside my car cuz it seems like it's really hot sometimes I want to make sure it's okay for my dogs. The first one didn't work but they quickly sent me a second replacement. I do like it I recommend it

After reading so many reviews of thermometers with inaccurate and/or inconsistent readings, I was very pleasantly surprised to see how accurate (and consistent) this thermometer is. Like the VW master tech review, I too tested it in ice water as well as boiling water, and it was accurate within 1 degree or less. I've also compared it to my home thermostat and once again, it agrees to within less than 1 degree.

First tool arrived with a dead battery; it was exchanged with another unit that also had a weak battery. After replacing the battery, the thermometer performs well with one drawback: when subjected to a large change, say from warm to subfreezing temperature, this tool takes some time to display the final temperature.

I use this at work for A/C and heat diag. Have had no issue with it withstanding the hot and cold temperatures associated with these tasks. No complainants

I'm a VW master tech, and bought this for diagnosing automotive AC systems. I've compared it to other thermometers and checked it in boiling and ice water for accuracy, and it seems spot on. The pivoting probe is great because it's less prone to falling from the vent while driving, and is easy to observe while driving. I'm pleased with this tool.
