Delta T17494-RB-I Linden Shower Faucet, Without Rough, Venetian Bronze

We were not very impressed with the quality of the materials they make this stuff with. Lots of internal parts that will not do good in water that will cause need of replacing. The valve body behind has a conglomeration of plastic parts that wont take use very well and will start leaking with little wear. The instructions were hard to follow probably because of the translations. Took a professional plumber a few hours just to figure out how the valve gets assembled. Which parts go inside and which parts to take out. Then water went everywhere and no control at the valves. When the Chinese translated the instructions there was something lost.

I really like this shower fixture. Note that this specific item number is associated with the commercial grade fixture, a higher grade than the version that is often in big box stores. Before you buy any such fixture, I would suggest going to Delta or the manufacturer website and search commercial grade, get the item number and run it in Amazon. Of the commercial grade, this is on the lower end since the top line commercial grade of the shower dial itself is about $300-400 on Amazon. You have to decide what price point you want and jump in. This price point, however, is about what you would pay in Lowes for a non-commercial grade fixture.As noted by others you do need to buy the valve separately off Amazon. Other posts note the correct item number for that valve so look for it. If you are having a plumber install the shower unit for you, note that you need the valve much further in advance than he will install the fixtures at the tail end. If any work is being done on the shower, the plumber will need to rough out the plumbing first and the valve is needed in that process. So, check with your contractor/plumber, but likely you want to buy that valve quickly and have it ready when they will be doing the rough plumbing work. Otherwise the plumber will have to come back later on when it is there and it can slow down your project.The last point I would make is - the shower head is just very nice in its water flow. I have not noticed any slow down in pressure when both are on as some have noted. My best guess is that the problem they note is not the shower head itself but maybe either their plumbing fittings in the wall, or their water pressure to the house. Some note that it is tough to get the smaller hand held wand back in the main head, and it takes a little practice but not too bad. But the flow of both together really is like a large shower head, with the option of the wand for cleaning the shower/tub or otherwise. Definitely would recommend.

Just installed this unit a couple weeks ago. First do a little homework and make sure you also purchase the MultiChoice valve body.First impressions of this was that everything felt like plastic with a thin foil like nickel finish. I bought this for my bathroom re-do to match other items. I will say that Delta engineers every piece to be perfect. however, I don't believe the quality of every piece is good. A lot of items and parts felt chinsy and cheaply made, fit like a glove. For instance the tub spout looks like it would be a heavy duty metal part, but it was light as a feather yet didn't really need to be metal. Getting the temperature control limits set was a bit mind boggling at first, but once I read the directions out loud it seemed to go well. The cool thing about this unit is that once you set your temperature to what you like, you don't really have to mess with it again. It's as easy as turning the on/off valve on. You don't have to spend time each morning finding that sweet spot of temperatures.The shower head looks impressive like it'll pummel you with a variety of different streams and rain. There is really only a couple of different sprays to choose from, unlike some other alternatives on the market. You will notice though that your pressure decreases considerably when you have it spray from the ring and the hand wand at the same time.

My contractor installed this. It works well and looks good but he must have had trouble because there are scratches on the pipe right above where the head is. Not noticings, so I’m not worried. Also no longer can fit one of those things you hang to hold shampoo bottles, but that’s okay too. I like that you can keep the temperature consistent and just turn the water on or off. Makes baths for my little one easier.Updated 1/31/24Came back to say that my faucet/spout(?) fell off today. The parts inside are plastic and not as durable as the old parts used to be, it seems.

Now that it’s in the wall, I LOVE IT! But I was cussing at it trying to figure out how to put the temperature handle on the right way. Was easy to install other than the temperature handle, looks amazing! True to oil rubbed bronze color, works great, love the pull out shower head. Everything is metal but the spout and temperature handle! DONT BE LIKE ME AND FORGET TO ORDER THE MATCHING DRAIN AND DRAIN STOP!!! It doesn’t come with those. It’s a bit expensive and I would have never paid full price for it, amazon had an open box return I bought for half price and it came in brand new in packaging! I suggest trying to do the same to save you some money!

We haven't installed it yet, so that is why we did not rate it, but it looks beautiful and was exactly what we were looking for!!

Como dicen muchas personas, el acabado y color es bonito pero yo también hubiera esperado más de Delta. No he tenido ningún problema con la operación, pero sé que las cosas hechas de plástico tienen vida útil más corta.

Overall a nice product, however the faucet is fully plastic which is strange. Have the bathroom faucets and they are metal and much more durable. Had one of these arrive damaged, so there is some concern as to how well these will last.

I purchased this trim set for my bathroom renovation. The same set was being sold through the installer at nearly twice the price. Can’t beat Amazon prices! This set looks SO sharp. I love it!! The shower head has many settings. Very luxurious.
