Alpine Hearing Protection Earplugs (Transparent)

What is this?..I thought it wasn't supposed to sound like all muffed and my own voice sounding loud to me(extermely muffed)..can hear the outer sounds but I purchased it for tinnitus and it just blocks soo much sound my tinnitus loudness is clearly heard in it so they r preety useless to me. The filter thing looks a sham. Never buying such things ever again.what a fooking joke.

Overall I think these earplugs are great, but the highest reduction filter (gold) makes high frequency very muddy and quiet. I would recommend using the silver filters for any live music. I have used these over 3 types of events: metal, rock, and EDM/techno. For very loud music, the gold filter is very muddy and muffled with most vocals and guitars. So much so that I find it hard to enjoy the music with the gold filter. The silver filters work the best in my opinion. EDM/techno sounded great and I didn't notice any loss in mids or highs. I did notice a reduction in mids and highs a little with metal and rock, but not nearly as bad as the gold filters. The volume is also pretty much perfect at 18db NRR, where it is loud but not so much that I was worried about hearing damage at any point over 4 hours of constant music thumping. I've never used the white filters for any live music, so I can't say much about them. The case included with the pros have space for the extra filters though, so you'll always have them if you need them for something. I think these are the best at their price point, especially with the case and other accessories. Loop Experience 2 have a rating of 17db, and I think these have good enough sound quality with an NRR of 18db (silver filters) that these could be a good alternative for cheaper. Given the perceived volume with an NRR at 18db, I might be concerned about hearing damage at anything much lower over extended periods of time. In general, I would stick to an earplug with an NRR of at least 16db for most live music. The only brand I know of that has better highs and mids would be eargasm. They are double the price on Amazon at the time of the review though, so unless you're willing to spend that, I would recommend these.

After using these a few times, it becomes difficult to justify attending concerts or loud venues without some form of quality hearing protection. The included carrying case is compact and practical, making it easy to throw into a pocket, backpack, or everyday carry setup without thinking about it. Overall, the Alpine MusicSafe Pro earplugs strike an excellent balance between comfort, sound quality, and protection. If you care about music, live events, or preserving your hearing long term without sacrificing audio quality, these are absolutely worth picking up.
