I noticed a loud clanking noise coming from under the bed of my 1998 Chevy C1500 so I inspected it and found that the top eyelet bushing on my passenger side shock absorber had deteriorated and got chewed up. This was causing the eyelet to bounce around when going over bumps, etc. I have a Fabtech lift kit installed and the FTS7333 shock that was on there was completely black so I ordered another one and it fit perfectly, looks great, and performs as it should. No more noise! The shock arrived without a band around it but it stayed compressed, I was told this is normal. Lots of hardware (as pictured in ad) for various truck models and bolt diameters included. You may require a hydraulic press or C-clamp to push in the cylindrical metal eyelet bushing part. That’s what I used and it got the job done. WD-40 is your friend.
