Beginner/Intermediate Tools
My first higher quality carving tools for linocuts and it works like a dream. Sharp and great at detail work, I would highly recommend as a step up from the beginning Speedball catchall lino tool.

Great for carving small details into lino for block printing.
These carving tools are perfect for getting those small details carved into lino. They glide through the material like it's a hot knife going through butter. I like to do more intricate designs and that can be difficult with my speedball carving tool. These tools have been a game-changer for me. If you're on the fence because of the price, well, I can appreciate that. This set is expensive. However, it FEELS expensive. The handles are solid, and the tools are sharp. I also love the wooden storage box for the tools. When they do get a bit dull (which they haven't yet) you can get the sharpening tool, which I have not done but I will be purchasing eventually. I've probably carved about 5 designs so far and the tools are still sharp. Personally, I wouldn't expect them to dull that quickly anyway but it depends on what you're carving and how often. So if you have to carve detailed intricate designs, this set is worth the money. If you're just doing a little bit of block printing for a hobby... Well, this is a nice treat but you could get by with cheaper tools. Just... it's so nice to have these! Totally recommend.
