Danco Tub Drain Shoe, Chrome, (89204)

Good price, works good, good delivery

The quality of this drain shoe is good, with thick metal and rubber gasket. The problem is that this drain shoe doesn't come with an adapter so that it can fit various sizes of drain holes. No where in the description does it state the size, except in a picture of the package, which is for a 1 5/8". Our tub's drain hole is a 1 7/8", so we had to struggle to get the adapter off of our old drain shoe, to attach it to this one. The next problem is that the screw hole in the middle, where the drain strainer screws into, is too big. I had to search around various home improvement stores to find a 5/16" x 2 1/4" stainless steel screw to fit this hole, so that I can attach the strainer. The screw that comes with most strainers are half that size.

It was high quality and I was able to replace the ugly drain on my bathtub.

Exactly the hard-to-find combination of OD (1-1/2") and TPI (16) I needed.

The chrome plating looks great, however, I've noticed corrosion starting on the inside at the cross members, will have to see how long this shoe will last.

Product dimensions listed on the web site (2" X 4" X 5") is incorrect. Should be OD 2 3/4" X ID 1 l/2" X Height 1 3/8".

Total junk! A complete waste of time!
