To the reviewers that said they needed to modify the holes to make it fit…. The fit is supposed to be tight. Otherwise unfiltered water will go back to the pool. Old filters fit less snuggly.

Good price for these filters. You will pay $100 each at a pool supply store. As long as you keep them clean and wash as needed they should last you 3-5 yrs. Depending on your pool and water chemical chemistry. Don't ever take them to a car wash to rinse off. It will tear and ruin them. Be gentle, washa and clean as directed by your pool company

Fantastic filters. Well made and rock solid. They dropped right into my filter canister, and the fittings were snug - not too tight, nor too loose. At almost 1/4 the cost of buying filters from a pool store, I can afford to replace these more often; but don't plan to. I'll clean them every other month and see how they handle themselves going forward. Very pleased with this purchase.

Just. Opened the shipping package and measured the filters because I was concerned from other reviews that the filters would be the wrong size and not match the description. They are actually the size that is stated in the description 3” I.D and 7” O.D and 32.5” tall which is the size I am looking for, therefore they will fit my Pentair Clean and Clear Plus model CCP250. The filters have plastic ends rather than the fragile foam ends provided by the OEM the blue foam ends fall apart. There is a problem however the 3” I.D. Takes a little work installing on the bottom but the top black caps are so tight I needed a rubber mallet to bang them on, that is why the 3 instead of 5 stars. It is not required to have that tight a tolerance. To much time to install because of the tight fit. Maybe I have a second thought on the foam ends, much easier to install a 3rd the time to install.

I took a star off because I had to use a razor to remove some extraneous plastic from the hole fittings. When I went to mount them onto the manifold they were very tight. I had previously cracked my manifold when removing overly tight-fitting cartridges. I bought a new manifold and these cartridges and made sure they would be snug but still easy to slide on and off for cleaning.

These filter are very well made however could not give them a 5 star because the top and bottom openings where the connectors for the filter insert are about 32 of an inch in diameter too small. I had to use a rubber hammer to tap the manifold down to set it properly.

The Poolpure PLF131A pool filters, so far, seem to be acceptable and much less expensive alternatives for the Pleatco 131A filters. They came packaged in a sturdy cardboard box with each filter individually enclosed in a clear plastic bag. The filters have blue hard plastic top and bottom end covers instead of rubber end covers as with the Pleatco filters. Installation was easy and they fit properly inside the filter tank with no problem.
