Eberlestock Halftrack Pack

So upset and sad.Eberlestock was once my favorite backpack company. No longer.I have owned a Eberlestock Halftrack pack for about 3 years. It is perfect.I ordered another for my partner a few days ago, and I am APPALLED at the drop in quality over the last few years!Instead of plentiful sewn loops, the new model has a laser cut Molle panel across the back of the pack, and has 3 super thin pieces of webbing (about 1/4" wide) across the bottom instead of the old double row thick webbing of the past packs. The new loops are almost useless for any tied down hanging loads!The back support has changed too, mostly for the worse.I called Eberlestock and complained, they told me that many other pack companies change designs without telling their customers. I told Eberlestock that they were NOT every other pack company, and that I held them to a much higher standard than the typical run of the mill Chinese pack companies. I told them that they were doing their customers a huge disservice by these non communicated changes. They told me they don't care, they are not going to make any more of the older high quality packs, and that the best I could do is get a refund.I do not want a refund... I just want the beautiful pack I paid for! :(Eberlestock is now my least favorite pack maker... be careful if you buy from these guys, who knows what you might get! :(I'm returning my pack... it is not up to the standards I've come to expect from this once great but now dissappointing company.Shame on you, Eberlestock! :(

Solid bag. As a civilian, and all the bags I have used and seen, this bag is on top of the list. As a Army Medic, and all the equipment I have seen and dealt with, it stand up to almost any top of the line pack. This pack is well made, has good room for the necessities like: Sleeping bag, hammock, toiletry bag, extra socks and undies, shirts, food storage and my medical supplies. Just add the saddle bag to it and all that and then some will pack into this pack. What I like most about it is the fact that it isn't bulky feeling or looking like our Ruck Sacks we carry. It's streamlined and fits from bottom of my neck to the small of my back. I am 6'2" 180. The finest part about this pack is the shoulder straps, kidney straps, and lumbar support pad in the back. When adjusted to your size, this is the most comfortable pack ever. I will probably get their smaller back for EDC. This pack is perfect for a B.O.B. or even extended journeys. Highly recommended.

I like this pack a lot. I got it for work as a security officer and have to take my gear and lunch and personal items from post to post on a 12-hour shift. It has many pockets/compartments which I needed and the main compartment is ideal for most everything else I need to carry.What I like most about it is the way it feels on my back. The padding and ventilation is awesome and the shoulder harness is surprisingly comfortable. I've had mine for about 4 months now and I wear it every day. I like the way that the main compartment opens too as it allows enough space to fit all my stuff inside it.This pack is not for everyone as its priced on the high side for a backpack. I've tried some others and I always "feel" the weight and and the pack on my back. This one is very user friendly and doesn't feel clunky or digs into my back/shoulders. It's also built to last and the quality of the material and construction is second to none.This was recommended to me by a co-worker who is in the military and he swore up and down I would love it. He was right.

Wow! I have a 5.11 rush 72 and 24. Opted to try Eberlestock this time, and I am so glad I did. I must say there is a huge difference in how much comfortable this pack rides compared to 5.11. Make sure you watch the instructional video on, how to adjust your backpack by Eberlestock. This will help tremendously. The hip belt is amazingly comfortable, and re-distributes the weight to your hips and legs. The shoulder straps are super comfortable as well. However, what is makes up for in comfort it lacks in organization. It's organization is just okay! It does have tons of molle, so I had to buy an admin organizer for the inside, and an IFAK pouch for the outside because I have this pack super packed with 30lbs of gear and ir rides like a dream with no pain anywhere. All that being said, this is an amazing pack, and I am so glad I pulled the trigger to buy it. It is worth every bit of 250! I am using a Camelbak 90857 Mil Spec Antidote Accessory Long Reservoir, 3.0L it the side pocket, and it fits great. The top compartment can fit a lot of stuff in it, much more than advertised. I would say the only con to buying this pack is the weight and I wish the chest strap was made from elastic material. That being said, if you want a robust military style backpack that is going to last you a long time, and you can put it through the ringer, the offset of weight vs. durability is well worth it. I am using this as my hiking backpack and my get home gag/bug out bag. Great job Eberlestock, you just found a lifetime customer!!!!!

Offen gesagt wohl der erste und letzte 3 Tages Rucksack, den ich mir zulege.Stabil, robust, sehr gut verarbeite - hat daher aber auch seinen Preis.Hinein passt alles, was man für ca. 3 Tage so benötigen könnte ...Weiß nur nicht, ob die Seitentaschen für anständige Hydration-Packs groß genug sind - noch nicht dazu gekommen das zu testen.Der Verkäufer war top - hatte mir den Rucksack unter Zeitdruck bestellt (Bestellung am Dienstag Abend - benötigt im Sinne von 2 Tagestrip hätte ich ihn schon am folgenden Montag) und nach einem kurzen Mail mit Hinweis auf die Dringlichkeit, war er am Freitag bereits bei mir zu Hause.Würde mir das Teil jederzeit wieder anschaffen.
