RTIP - Read the Instructions People
Ever since Gevalia discontinued their line of Tassimo coffee, I thought this would be the end of my Bosch machine but then came this product, and it brought it back to the game of coffee. People, it works, follow the instructions, do not tamper the grains, rather tap lightly and loosely until you are satisfied with the amount of coffee as long it is under the max line. Place the filter on (and you can resuse them if you wash them gently under running water, and towel dry), then the cover. Shake it to make sure you hear it is loose inside the grains. Brew. Now here's the secret. If you have laying around your expresso tassimo disks or the 8 or 12oz disks, cut the bar code and tape it on the reader. It is more accurate and it works wonders. I have no problems since I followed these simple steps. Oh, and once you are done, or the light is orange, take out the filter, make sure your bar code is still there. Throw or save the coffee grains, and rinse the pod thoroughly, don't go crazy with soap and water, if you do, do it lightly. This is a great product if you follow the instructions. RTFM.

Works great!
Even tho they deny it, Tassimo seems to be making less and less flavors and the prices are going up. I looked a few years ago for a product like this to no avail and just happened to stumble upon this a few weeks ago. I have ran about 8 cups thru my machine and I think I am dialing it in. Initially, the bar-codes wouldn't work. Then after a conversation with the owner, we re-positioned the labels and now it works great! See attached for final positioning. You do have to close the brewer cap with significant force in order for the silicon cap to maintain it's seal. This is normal. The one failure point I see is that the silicon seems to be oily enough the stickers don't like to stick. Aside from that, I will be enjoying a massive variety of coffee thumbing my nose at Tassimo each time. That being said, I will likely still hand onto a few t-discs for when I'm in a hurry or for pumping out more cups quickly as when guests want a cup.

Great for regular coffee - but that's about it.
Tassimo is arguably one of the best single-pod espresso-based drink dispenser available on the market. Unfortunately, like all good products, companies with better marketing (ahem, Nespresso and Keurig) have pushed Tassimo to the darkest corners of pod-based brewing. No other product can make a cappuccino or latte or milk-based drink from pods alone. Keurig can't do espresso at all. Nespresso can't froth milk automatically through a pod. As such, Tassimo pods have become increasingly rare and more expensive. Finding value in espresso pods has become a challenge. Not only that, the environmental impact of single-use pods is unquestionable. My-Cap has made a product that has kept me from having to just throw away my Bosch Tassimo brewer. It is simple and effective. But it IS limited. I have yet to successfully brew a cup of espresso, even with the right bar code. Can't get the crema. I will continue to experiment with different roasts and grinds, but for now, it brews a 2oz cup of strong to 12oz cup of weak coffee. It also can't froth milk, though I'm sure the chemical definition of the milk pods were less than all natural. It's not advertised to do so, so kick there. But I would like to truly brew a good (tolerable) cup of espresso.

Best purchase ever!
I waited TOO long to buy this based on bad reviews. This seriously has been my best purchase of 2023. I am saving SO much money! I have had no issues with this product. I stuck the barcode for my regular coffee size on a piece of thin cardboard, trimmed to size, then placed it over the scanner window. I try to remember to take it out after each use to dry it out- but they do give you extra stickers - so far this one is holding up about a month. I also photographed all barcode stickers to print later if I ever run out. I made pumpkin spice Starbucks coffee and it came out so good! Buy this thing now, you won’t regret it!

Inaccurate water, uneven brew, no longevity
UPDATE: After 9 months and roughly 100 uses (3x/week), the disc has reached its end of life. The silicone top does not seal anymore, coffee grounds push out, making a mess in the machine and leaving my coffee crunchy. And no, I am not overfilling it. Same measuring scoop. The silicone appears weakened and flimsy, even without coffee in the disk, there is no more tight seal. I always hand washed the disk, never put in the dishwasher. Great concept, reducing waste of coffee discs, but faulty product. The bar codes don’t dispense amount of water indicated. Most regular coffees recommend 2 tablespoons of coffee grounds per 6 oz of water or 180 ml. The reusable coffee disk holds 2 tablespoons, up to the fill line. Neither the imprinted bar code nor the additional bar code stickers deliver 180 ml as seen in the pictures. It’s less than 150 ml. That’s a big difference affecting the flavor.

Works but not perfectly
Just like everyone else, I was excited about using my Tassimo again without waiting months to get expensive pods from some other country. The first 3 cups of coffee were perfect. I used the 8 oz sticker. Like another user suggested, I cut it out and placed it over the window where the barcode is read. Problem was, it got wet and stuck there. About that time, my machine started making strange noises and quick brewing. Coffee leaked from everywhere. The pod also came open (or exploded as others have described). I scaped what was left of the barcode off the window and didn't bother using it again. I then tried using less grounds. Now I can get about 1/2 of brewed coffee in my cup. I use the extra button to get a little more so it's not too strong. A lot of work for a cup of coffee. Even with all the trouble, it still tastes better than my Mr. Coffee. Since I love my Tassimo machine, I'm going to stick with it. I've found that the best things in life don't come easy.

WORKS GREAT
Since i buy a lot of ground coffee and did not want my Bosch Tassimno coffee maker to go to waste i bought this oin a whim. I know it comes with lots of different barcodes but for me the one that is printed on it works perfect for the 12 oz size cups i use. I use it several times a day and have been using it daily since i piurchased it and have had zero issues with it.

So far, so good
This review is for a product that we purchased on our own. So this isn't influenced by anybody. We love our Tassimo, but hate throwing away plastic coffee discs. We've been thinking about a refillable disc for some time, but couldn't find one that we thought would work well. But after a couple weeks of use, we have become fans of this My-Cap version. It has been fairly easy to fill. Yes, you can overfill it and prevent it from working well. Easily fixed! Just avoid overfilling! It's really not that difficult if you have even average patience. But the cup of coffee tastes good. And we can dump the coffee grounds into the compost bin. The next test will be longevity. But this device pays for itself after 20 uses or so. So we've almost broken even already.
