Nice Reference
This e-book was useful while studying for my CCNP Security, specifically exam 300-210. As you know, pursuing this particular certification is hard especially if your organization doesn’t support the technologies covered in the exam. I used this book in conjunction with rack rentals & video courses, Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD), and Cisco documentation. There isn’t a specific book that covers 300-210 which was a refresh from the previous 300-207 exam. While you can’t go wrong with Cisco documentation, this book comes with configuration walkthroughs with diagrams/screenshots. If you’re fortunate enough to be using some of the technology covered, you can follow along. The book in my opinion is also a nice reference to have, especially since it covers a lot of information about Cisco NGIPS, NGFWs, and AMP which a nice portion Network Engineers are using in Production in their respective environments.

It should be free.
More of a pre-sales type document. Informative if you are deciding which model of ASA to purchase, but of little value if you are configuring one.Nearly all examples use FMC, with few using ASDM. So if you are trying to configure an ASA FirePower module through ASDM, avoid this book.

A CCNA Security must have
Must have if you're studying for CCNA Security. The screenshots alone are almost worth it if you are unfamiliar with the technology. Answered a lot of questions about IPS 'flow' that I couldn't find anywhere else. Sometimes too much presumptive info in too little space.

Compared with the ASA book, I found this to be disappointing, it does cover the Next Gen security features but I found it to be expensive for what it was.
