WP38 - Favorite Melodies the World Over - Level 2 (The Bastien Older Beginer Piano Library)

Favorite Melodies, Levels 1 and 2, can be a very enjoyable supplement for many students. Broken down into four sections, Christmas songs, classical melodies, religious songs, and "old favorites". Based on student reactions over the years, I think they need to do some updating on the "old favorites" sections. Even older adult students are too hip to get excited about most of these. Good book to help students improve their sightreading skills since most of the pieces will be familiar melodies.

Had this as a kid and loved it. The book got all torn up, so I decided to find a new copy. I went and bought Level One as well. This is a great compilation. Great for kids or adults that are learning to play. A very fun mix of all kinds of classic songs that the ear will recognize.

As a beginning piano teacher, I like this for those students who are beginning to read well and want some variety. I had fun going through it as it reminded me of pieces I did when I was first learning. Great easy pieces.

The product was as advertised and arrived within the estimated time of delivery. As a matter of fact, it arrived earlier than I had anticipated, and that was an added bonus.I am extremely pleased to now own the Favorite Melodies the World Over, Level 2 as it is an integral part of my older beginners' piano course. I have been playing, singing along and simply having so much fun as I hone my musical skills. I shall be certainly looking for more opportunities to use Muesik again for other purchases.

Had this book growing up. I already knew how to read music but never took lessons. Some of my favorite tunes are in this book and was excited to see it was still in print.

It's a great book with different music varieties.They're not especially hard; they are challenging but pleasant for my husband to play.

I am an "older adult" taking piano lessons. I am enjoying the music in this book and would recommend it to an older student who is taking piano for the first time.

The book is okay for a beginner student. The music is simplified so a beginner student can play it without a lot of difficulty. Overall it's okay. If you are a fast learner you'll move pass the pieces on this book fairly quick.
