I had never made matcha before, so this was an experiment for me. I find that it works pretty well. I assume if you are looking at this you have at least learned a little about ceremonial matcha, but if not, make sure you look up some videos about it. You'll want ceremonial grade matcha to use with this bowl and whisk since it will be too bitter if you use cooking grade. The trick for me so far has been learning how much water to use. I think I tend to want to fill the bowl up, but it really shouldn't be full, just enough to whisk the matcha. I don't have any other whisks or bowls to compare with, but the whisk and bowl seem to work well and the bowl is comfortable to drink out of. I'm pleased to have this option for making high quality matcha.

Beautiful, traditional true celadon green tea bowl and whisk stand. Well made, combines artful beauty with durability. Does not overheat (making bowl too hot to hold) but suitable for serving hot tea. Holding the tea bowl in both hands or one is manageable even for small hands. The open bowl shape permits enjoyment of fragrance of tea while sipping. The whisk stand matches perfectly, and the bamboo utensils are well-made. It is a lovely set well worth the price.

I like this matcha bowl set. It looks really good and works well for making my tea at the office. The bamboo is solid and well made and the whisk seems strong enough to withstand normal use. The only thing that surprised me was the size of the bowl. It is larger than I thought it would be and as such I am still using my standard tea mug.

I love this little set! I don’t know how I’d make matcha without it. I don’t usually order discounted “used” products on amazon, but I’m very happy that I took a chance on this one. A few dollars off because the original packaging was damaged, and the set itself was in perfect condition. Totally worth it.During this era of crisis and confusion resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the act of making and consuming a bowl of matcha is a much needed comfort. It’s an almost meditative activity. My life is much more pleasant for it. Thanks!

This is a lovely set. Very pretty colour. It looks handmade and is good quality.

The quality of the whisk is pretty poor. Every time I use it now a piece of it falls off. Will be going in the bin soon, lasted less than 6 months.
