I originally got my granddaughter the standard 11 1/2" Chinese Checkers set. It was very well made of high quality materials and looked great. However, neither she (age 10) nor I could pick up the marbles to move them without knocking some of the neighboring marbles out of position. And, it was all but impossible for 3 of us to play. Very frustrating. (No - none of us have finger issues.) When I was a kid, I had a much larger set, but it was made of stamped metal. I tried hard to find that and came across this set by Amish ToyBox. It's 19" and terrific! Beautifully made! Big enough for me to play with both grandkids at the same time. No more issue with picking up marbles. It's relatively expensive, but super high quality and definitely worth it. I anticipate that we will use it for a much longer time than the standard (11 1/2"), cramped board. I have purchased a 2nd one to keep at my house.

This board is amazing. The playing surface is a perfect size not to fumble around and knock around the marbles. The marbles are large enough to grip and hold on to. The board is a beautiful oak and the workmanship is superb. I love this board. Worth the extra money you have to pay for the quality. This will certainly be an heirloom for many generations to come.

This is such a great game to play! Everyone played this as a kid, but now we play it the right way! If you love this game like I do and want to buy one, then BUY THIS 19 inch board!!! When using smaller boards, I would constantly knock over other marbles. This one is brilliant and stays on the kitchen table!

This is a high-quality product. Having large marbles which fit perfectly on a wood base with painted holes makes it appealing and easy to use. Costs more than the cheap imports but will last for generations. 6 people can easily fit around the game for whole family fun.

Was looking for a better way to play CC. There are 6 of us with kids ranging from 1st grade to Freshman in college. Finding a game board we would all enjoy hard. All the other boards were too small, and the kids kept bumping into each other and knocking over pieces when moving a marble... which made the older kids quit the game.I am thrifty and could not image paying $100 for a board game, but my wife told me to try it and can return it if it sucks.IT WAS WORTH EVERY PENNY. Has made game night so fun (which makes me so happy to have us all together)Great product, and so glad I bought this.
