Quick install and works a treat.
I am using a 16 year old Philips DVD surround sound system. It came with scart and two rca ports. My new television has no scart options and rca are inputs only. I bought this item and ran the tos link to the TV. All I had to provide myself was a red and white rca pair of cables. 20 seconds later and my 16 year old unit is working in full Dolby sound again.....well worth the price. Highly recommended.

Easy solution for driving old analogue amps from digital audio
I used this to connect my old amplified PC speakers to a PS4 Pro. Trivially easy to install - powered from USB on PS4. Note there is ONLY RCA (phono) output - no 3.5. mm jack, so if (like mine) your speakers have a 3.5mm connection, then you'll need an adaptor. As reported elsewhere, the supplied optical cable looks very flimsy - I'd make sure you have a better quality spare available. Not sure why the rating includes "volume control" 'cos obviously there is none (your amp does that)

Perfect
Simply did the job. So I can now listen to blu ray and tv through my 30 YEAR NAD receiver. Great price too.

great for my sound system
Received new sound system, which unfortunately only has digital audio outputs. But my system has only analogue inputs!!! GRRRRR The converter was the solution. Now I can operate the receiver again via the stereo system!!!

Poor cable
Whilst the box worked fine, eventually! The optical cable was awful and flimsy and didn't hold in to the sockets so i had to order a new cable which was £6.00 and then the box worked fine after that through my stereo system
