My Savior (Bewitched And Bewildered Book 4)

Progress, finally
This was funny, there was action, and I enjoyed reading it. There was finally some progress with the underlying story which was nice. I will read at least the next book in the series. Some distracting typos, mild spice, vanilla fated mate fantasy/fae/witch romance.

MY NEW FAVORITE !!!
Title: My SaviorSeries: Bewitched & BewilderedAuthor: Alanea AlderDesignation: Book Four of Series, Full-Length, **Can Be Read As Standalone, No Cliffhanger #paranormalromance #fantasy #shifters #vampires #fae #witches #sprites #adultcontentMy Rating: Five Delightfully Entertaining Stars*******Each book of the Bewitched and Bewildered series features a different couple finding love along with their very own happy ending and can technically be read as a standalone. However, there are recurring characters and an underlying interconnected conflict that play a major part in all the books, therefore to avoid spoilers, I highly recommend reading the books sequentially.I loved, loved, loved this story! Alder had me hooked in the prologue and My Savior may be my new favorite! OMG, Alder's books are like potato chips; you can't stop with just one! This is the fourth book of the series and each story gets better and better! I can hardly wait to dive into the fifth! lol... I love unique paranormal romance, addicted to danger, action, adventure & suspense, completely smitten with sexy, alpha heroes, adore sassy, courageous heroines, and there's nothing I enjoy more than a few mind-bending plot twists and an infusion of laugh-out-loud humor, but when I can get it all in one well-crafted and beautifully written book, I'm in absolute heaven! And that's exactly what Alanea Alder delivered - AGAIN - in My Savior, the fourth full-length paranormal romance in her captivating and highly imaginative Bewitched & Bewildered Series. Did I like this book? No, I LOVED it! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain explicit language, some violence, and steamy, dreamy sex. Will I read this author again? Absolutely which is probably the best recommendation I can give! As a matter of fact, after completing the first book of this series, I raced back to Amazon and purchased the remaining nine books and signed up for her newsletter, which speaks volumes as to how much I enjoyed this author's work! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! I was glued to my chair, white-knuckling my ereader, my heart fluttering wildly in my chest as the pages flew as quickly as the pages!I fell in love with poor troubled Darian. He was so strong and so determined to save the woman he loved, even at the risk of his own happiness and possibly his life. And the beautiful, bubbly, half-witch Amelia was so loving and selfless, refusing to abandon the man of her childhood dreams, the only man she would ever love! Sigh... so dreamy! And if you've been following this series, I can hardly wait for you to find out the identity of her new sister-cousin! Oh my, this story just ripped my heart out of my chest! I snickered, snorted, sniffled, snuffled, chuckled, and outright ugly cried through the entire story! But just a little warning, folks, don't start this book unless you have plenty of time; you will not want to stop until you reach the last page. I should know; I stayed up all night AGAIN because I couldn't stop reading! lol... Alanea Alder, you're killing me! If you enjoy perilous danger, intense drama, agonizing angst, pulse-pounding action, nail-biting suspense, side-splitting humor, heartwarming romance, and a few mind-blowing plot twists that you'll never see coming, then this book is screaming your name. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! Thanks for the recommendation Fran Zoch!

Angst and Antics
Working through my reread of this series and I’m remembering how much I liked these books, but also the different smaller elements that made me love some of these books. I think the thing that set this book apart from the first three was that this book was way more angst ridden than the others.Darian is our hero, our stoic fae who is apparently fading, he’s losing his light, which for a fae is a huge deal, like turn feral, huge deal. So of course when his mate shows up, Darian isn’t interested; all he wants is to protect the people he loves from whatever destruction comes at the end of his journey. It’s really very sad. All the other guys in the book have a much brighter outlook, whereas Darian just has no hope, and it changes the tone, it makes it a little bit darker. Truth is, I love angst, so I was so down for this change. And to be clear, Darian is still alpha unit type hero, he’s still a good guy, he’s trying to protect everyone, he’s still kind, he’s just withdrawing with the great sense of dread about him.Amelia is the perfect compliment for Darian. Part of what makes these books work is the humor, there are so heavy scenes, but there is such humor that it makes the books a fun ride no matter what is happening. So when you have Darian so close to the brink, you have to balance that, enter Amelia. Meryn calls her bubbles, and it’s totally accurate. Amelia is a witch, and she’s probably the biggest I’ll find a rainbow in ever storm personality ever. She’s also got a connection to Meryn that I didn’t see coming, but was great to have. I also loved how persistent she was, she never let Darian push her away, but she wasn’t so pushy that you got annoyed, she literally was the perfect counter for Darian in this book. Oh and the scene with the makeup made me laugh so much, I seriously feel like I would be Meryn in this scenario.Amelia also really opens up the mystery behind the necklaces in this book, helping the group take more steps to figuring out what the ferals are up too. Amelia also ends up being way more than you expect, she’s way involved in the ending of the book and really kind of shifts things in a way you don’t expect. Also can I just say how heartbreaking the ending of this book was, but it makes the set up for the next book so great!

reread
Doing another reread and I missed reviewing so many of these. Amelia is awesome like Meryn! Love her and Darian. I love doing rereads and seeing what I forgot since the last books came out. I hate the ending of this one with Keelan it’s so sad but love all the craziness they all get up to.

Fantasy Series
These books are really great all rounders. They have a bit of everything - comedy, action, fantasy, romance. I did stop reading after this book, mainly as they’re not included in the Amazon kindle unlimited deal so you have to pay. Unfortunately I don’t think they’re worth paying the extra for as they’re not really long enough & big enough story lines to pay extra. If they were included one day then I would consider carrying on the series as they’re easy reads and the characters are lovable. Such a shame! If you’re happy to spend them extra money I would recommend them!

great PNR series!
"Then I guess all I can do is stay by your side for eternity.""It's good to have life goals."I forgot just how much I love this series. It's been a long while since I finished the previous book but as soon as I started this I was easily transported back into this world.Because this series just has that familiar feeling with the world of this series and the characters in it.This is the fourth book in this paranormal series and this time we focus on Darian who is fae, and his mate Amelia who is half witch. There is an ongoing plot throughout this series that untangles and develops with each book so I can't say anything much on that other than bad things are happening and it feels like the bad guys are getting closer. However, with the couple there is also another story line.Amelia has been waiting her whole life to be with her mate so she doesn't expect to be met with a frosty reception, with rejection.Darian's inner light is dimming and it seems the darkness is taking over and he refuses to take anyone down with him.But he soon finds out how determined and stubborn his mate is and that he never stood a chance trying to fight her."You are an odd little half human.""My brother says I'm a 'limited edition' thank you very much.""What are you doing?""Stalking you."His mouth dropped."Out in the open?"she shrugged "Why hide?"I really liked these two as characters and as a couple. Amelia was different in a way. For a bit, she had to do the chasing and I loved that about her in a way. She was self assured, she wasn't afraid to go after what was hers. She was also bubbly and hilarious. Not going to lie that at first that I thought Darian was a total jerk. He could be mean but I got it, eventually. He's honorable. And when he accepted he couldn't fight their connection any longer he was so sweet to her with a tad possessiveness."How could I not love the crazy, female who kneed me to prove that I wouldn't hurt her?How could I not love the woman who is willing to descend into hell rather than lose me?I have so very little to offer you, not even a certain future, and you give to me at every turn-- your trust, your faith, your body. How could I not love you?"I really missed these characters.Meryn and her hilarious ways. The men and their (lack of) knowledge of humans, more importantly female humans. The fierce loyalty and their extended family; mixed with blood related family and self made family. There's something special about that feel of family and belonging in these books. It amazes me that Alanea Alder can manage to keep the humor consistent and yet fresh at the same time. I will never tire of Meryn and her menacing ways. The men and what they learn with each book and their trips to the store. The interactions with the characters; Paranormal and human."Fix him! He caught a case of Meryn! There are a lot of characters which can equal a lot going on and while it can get confusing from time to time, it's one of the top reasons why this series is so endearing to me.Noah and Keelan are the characters that own my heart though.I refuse to accept what happened with Keelan.Refuse it.I really need these guys to get their own books. Or you know, their own book.Need.Also Oron. I really love him too.I want all the secondary characters books, really. Now,if you couldn't tell already, I loved this book so much. I smiled and laughed a whole lot. I really got emotional on more than one occasion and I was reminded why I love paranormal so much, this series in particular.But.Yes, there's a but. The writing was slightly jumpy in places. Rushed maybe? There's also something that was supposed to happen but it didn't so I'm going to wait and see does it happen in the next book before mentioning it in detail.Anyway, I did love it over all and can't wait to catch up on the next two books!
