Middle Atlantic Products RR2-3RCN

There wasn't much information online rack extenders when I was looking this was the best product I could find, but I was still a bit nervous about how well it would work. In case anyone has any reservations, these things work great.Things I found. They are flexible enough to allow the cage screw to be screwed in without much issue on the product you are actually recessing, however I found that you had to install these on to the device you were recessing first and then mount this product + your device into you actual rack, there for you actually have to feed this from the back of the rack into place at the front, you can't slide it in to the rack once these are mounted on obviously. However the angled bracket is flexible enough that this wasn't an issue. That being said because you have to come in from the back (or side if you have an open rack mount) you may have to remove other devices from the rack to get this in place, however once in place it works great. I am using in a Tripp Lite 12U box to recess my network switch since I have to have the mounting rails so far forward to accommodate a UPS. They are very strong I don't have any flex in the switch at all. Great product, if I need to recess other devices will certainly be coming back.FYI my switch is an HP 1920 24por POE so it's about 11 lbs, I don't know that I'd be recessing 50 lb servers with these, but I don't you'd ever need to.
