desertcart.com: Head Up High: CDs & Vinyl Review: Great album - Great album. Especially enjoyed "Gimme Your Love" and "Under the Ice". Also, probably the best cover art out of all the Morcheeba albums. Review: Morcheeba has been cranking out great UK pop music for 20 years - This is a great band with a hip quotient to it that's nice. I think their first album, Who Can You Trust (?) - was amazing, and since then they've kept it up. Give it some listening on the samples and see, I think they are very engaging and their cool pop/jazz and atmospheric vocals and sound are excellent. Recommended.

Give em some love
Some solid classic Morcheeba sound on here, and also what seems to be a bit of a deviation from the norm. Again it's nice to have Skye back and I liked BLL. Overall this is a much more upbeat album than BLL, but personally I'm not a huge fan of the guest vocalists and the amount of rap on this one. I'll pick a few songs and add them to the rotation. Not my favorite album but not going to ding them too much for trying some new things.

Good, not great. Who can you trust was great.
Not their best album, but still worth it.

Not my favorite.
I did not like it as much as their others. I may be mistaken, but it seemed like they phoned this one in. I like Gimme your Love. I thought the Dive Deep album was better. I have all but Back to Mine.

Love Morcheeba
This Morcheeba disc is filled with an eclectic sound that meanders around different musical styles and moods. I like it - some of the songs hit the perfect chord - If you love Morcheeba you'll love Head Up High. Never miss them live - great show.

Grandissimi.

This is now the second album that Morcheeba have done since the return of Skye Edwards on lead vocals. It has has lived up to my expectations with many diverse tracks that are well produced. Great CD album for playing on a good quality Hi Fi, they know how to get the best from a studio recording. Some of the best tracks are Gimme Your Love, Face of Danger and Under The Ice, this track in particular showcasing Skye's silky smooth vocals. I can't say there is a single bad track. It's refreshing to have a band outside of the main stream creating such good quality music. Will not disappoint Morceeba fans and will gain many new fans with this album.
