Incredible for a two cat (three box) household
This stuff has to be sent from the heavens. Itโs amazing. My mom is very sensitive to the ammonia in cat pee. I (their main caretaker) am nose blind. Iโve searched far and wide for a litter that really does work as a lifelong cat owner so I can continue living with my mom without sending her into a cat pee induced anger. Pellets, crystals, clay, corn (which is a lie, it clogged my toilet), lightweight, heavy duty, literally nothing was good enough to keep my super sniffer mom from litter complaints. This is it. This is the one. Clumps beautifully, easy to scoop, minimal dust, and doesnโt make my house smell like a litter box, I can go even 3+ days without scooping and it doesnโt smell at all. I even have one box in my bedroom. The 30lb option fills three boxes to about an inch and a half (which my cats are fine with but beware the recommended fill is 3 inches). Thereโs some talk about price in the reviews, itโs definitely not the cheapest but man is it worth it. If Iโm short on litter money Iโll typically cut it with a cheap option (1:2) to make it last a little longer but it still works pretty good. There are SOME downsides. The biggest being tracking. My senior cat brings this stuff everywhere because heโs got arthritis and doesnโt clean himself as frequently. It tracks bad. I find myself sweeping much more frequently and because of the one in my bedroom I have to wash my sheets much more often as well since it gets stuck in between those toe beans. Itโs worth it though tbh. Second downside (which isnโt really a downside imo) is the scented option is not scented enough for me to notice. I donโt think there is any scent in it. But itโs the cheapest option soโฆ save a couple bucks, I promise the scent will not hurt your cats nose, itโs not even there. Third downside is as mentioned before, the clumps use a ton of litter but thatโs why it works so well so Iโm not complaining.

The longevity of this litter has been remarkable!
Boxiecat cat litter has become the new favorite litter in our home. We own 8 cats, 4 adults and 4 new kittens and have found this litter works much better than the previous clay litter we were using. Our cats also seem to prefer this litter and they did not have any issues transitioning over. Actually, the first day we used this litter they would not leave their litter box and just wanted to play in it, needless to say, I was relieved they liked it so much. This litter is very soft and very fine much like the texture of sand. When our previous cat litter sky-rocketed in price, we were not willing to pay almost triple for it, I looked on Amazon for something similar. After reading many positive reviews on this brand, along with the right price, we decided to give it a try and have not switched to anything else since. Since using this cat litter, cleaning the litter box has been so much easier because I am no longer stuck with having to scrape the bottom of the pan, because it just does not stick to the bottom or the sides. The urine clumps great and does not fall apart or crumble when I scoop the box. Previously, with the other brand when I scooped the box, I needed to wait awhile after the cats used it so the urine clumps had time to dry otherwise, they fell apart and left tiny balls that were impossible to scoop out. Now I can scoop immediately after they use their litter box without having a mess. The odor is considerably less than before and that was one of the first things I noticed the most. I have not found litter that will take away all of the odor but this one at least has been the most less noticeable used to date. Using this litter in conjunction with a litter box deodorizer has made all the difference in the world. I will also mention that the litter does not have a scent and that is what I wanted for my cats. Lastly, our cats all have medium to long hair and since using this litter we have not had any issues with any of the particles getting stuck to their fur which is something that we did have a problem with previously. The longevity of this litter has been remarkable. Now we only do a full box clean every 3 weeks or so and just top off the litter on a weekly basis. With the other cat litter there was no choice but a full box clean after only 10 days. This has not only helped save with the time of doing a full box clean but also has cut down on the cost of cat litter each month. Overall, switching to this cat litter has turned out to be great for us as well as our fur babies. Would recommend this litter to all of my fellow cat owners.

The cats have spoken
I bought the bigger bag. I have 4 cats and 4 extra large, no stick boxes. The larger bag filled 2 of the boxes. I like that itโs in a bag, so much easier to use. No dust, no odor. Today i went downstairs to check out my experiment. The 2 boxes with Boxiecat had been used. The 2 boxes with Arm & Hammer had not! That tells you everything, because my cats are PICKY and donโt like change, but they definitely prefer the new Boxiecat over their regular litter. The cats covered everything up, so it wasnโt waiting for me neatly on top, but 4 cats and 2 boxes how could it be. The big difference I noticed was the Boxiecat actually clumps. No broken pieces to scoop. No mess. I was done scooping in record time. Very little litter was tracked on the floor. So, there you have it. The cats have spoken. Iโm off now to sign up for a subscription for Boxiecat! UPDATE: Still loving this litter! No smell. I sweep up much less litter on the floor than I used to. Iโm also scooping much less litter out of the boxes, so Iโm saving money. Boxiecat makes it so much easier for me to clean 4 boxes and it takes me a lot less time. Itโs crazy how after I clean the boxes, they donโt have any lingering odor like before. I just canโt recommend Boxiecat litter enough!

I will not use any other cat litter.
Yes, this stuff is expensive. It is worth it. I won't use anything else, and I have tried others. Many, many others. For one thing, this litter really does last, so it's actually a better value than you might think. For another thing, the cats actually use it. They like it. It is super easy to clean, clumps like no other litter, and for some magical reason that I have yet to ascertain, it has no odor. None. Zip zulu nada. There is a small amount of tracking, but heck -- they are cats, using litter. It's going to track. Given the nature of the product, the tracking is actually pretty minimal. I used to have 12+ cats and this was the litter I swore by. When I downgraded to two cats, I tried to get away with cheaper litters but found them sorely lacking. This stuff just WORKS. In the end, it's also cheaper because, again, it actually LASTS. All you have to do is top it off -- it doesn't pick up odor, so you don't need to constantly change it out to keep the box from stinking -- just remove the poops and clumps and you're good. I do have a complaint about this, though, and that is that the bag design sucks, particularly when arriving from Amazon. A big-name pet product competitor does a better job shipping this than Amazon does; with Amazon, the outer boxes are absurdly flimsy and it gets banged around such that litter will often be spilling out of the bag, which is a big pain in the privates. I feel that this is on both Amazon and the manufacturer. It's a 30-lb bag and easily ripped, and I think that a sturdy box would be way, WAY better. That having been said, this is the litter that I swear by. I am not being paid to write this review; I genuinely believe in this product. True story. Change my mind, competitors.

good product if not for bad packaging
(note: I am comparing it to fresh step and tidy cat which is what I have previously used. I am also using a top entry box, rather than one that has an opening on the side, if that effects anything) Pros - Better at absorbing liquid waste and the clumps do not break apart easily making it a bit easier to scoop. - Does not stuck to the cats paws as much compared to other brands. Of course he still tracks some litter around but I don't believe there is any clay based product out there that eliminate the problem. Odor control and litter fragrance: The kind that I bought doesn't really have any particular fragrance to it, which doesn't really matter to me, all I ask of the litter I buy is that the area around the box doesn't stink. I can't speak for how it performs without a cover on top of the box, but the area around the box doesn't smell bad even if it's been two or more days. When you are getting up in there and cleaning up...well...it's still gonna stink just a bit up close. I can tell it does not stink as badly and it is absorbing the worse of it (assuming the cat does a competent job buring its poo), but there's not any strong fragrance to mask what you do smell. Cons: - The packaging. My god. The packaging is incredibly flimsy. If you are lucky enough to not have any leaks to begin with, I guarantee you will by the second time you top off the box. It's designed to just barely withstand the burden it has to carry and any amount of stress can cause a leak. Have duct tape handy. To open it you tear the corner at the top of the bag, which the packaging specifies you are supposed to fold and reseal using the sticker on the packaging. The sticker doesn't do a great job of this and will most likely stop sticking when you use it the second time. But that's the least of your problems. After the first use it becomes nearly impossible to move the package or pour into the box without it spilling. It gets everywhere. I have to vacuum almost every time. The opening gets wider from the stress of moving the package to the box and then carrying it back. It gets to the point you have to store the package inside of a trashbag so it doesn't spill all over the floor. It's really that bad, holy crap. Just put it in a tub, or a sturdy box, please I beg. I should not have to buy another product to store yours because you couldn't be bothered to come up with something better. Maybe you are trying to be eco friendly, but having packaging that is functional is not optional for messy stuff. Verdict: - Other than the packaging fiasco, while it cost a little more, you are getting the overall better quality that you pay for. So if you aren't content with what you are using, and you don't mind spending a bit more on litter, you might like it. But if what you are using works fine for you and your cat, then there isn't really any reason to pay the extra money. It kind of depends on your priorities. - If you already keep your litter in a storage container of some sort, then it will be mostly a non issue, but if you don't I would advise you to come up with a place to keep it or otherwise learn the hard way. The only reason I put up with it is that I don't want to go back to what I used before, because it is decent stuff.

Great litter, cat approved.
This litter is fantastic. We have 3 cats, so finding a good litter is important. Evan my pickiest cat seems to like this litter. No dust and no odors. Only issue is that our mail carrier says the bags are heavy.

Finally a scoopable litter that I donโt hate!
Only litter I have ever used that does not need to be changed completely every week!!! I have 2 large male cats who tend to pee along the back or sides of the box which makes scoopable litter unpleasant to use. I used Fresh Step clay litter since 1990 and loved it! Scooped solids every day and changed box every week...no odor, unless cat had just pooped but you get that with humans and flush toilets too. 2 years ago one of my kitties was diagnosed with feline asthma. The Fresh Step had become very dusty so I had to change. After some research I tried Dr Elseys Respiratory Relief Litter. Worked great for asthma - no dust and no scent but poor odor control and hard to scoop due to large clumps along sides of box. If you break a clump the smell is worse! Yuk! Also used the Dr Elseys Ultra which is also unscented and 99.9% dust free. Cheaper but same issues with odor and scooping. I eventually changed the box in main hall bath to Fresh Step Simply Unscented Lightweight. Kitty with asthma continued to do OK, better odor control but clumping was about the same I.e. not great. I progressed to Fresh Step in all 3 boxes. Then about a month ago Chip started coughing again. After more research, I tried Boxiecat. No odor just like the old Fresh Step. Yay! Unscented and dust free so good for asthma and no more coughing. Yay! Best of all it is easy to scoop. Firm clumps that donโt stick to box or stink if they break apart! I was skeptical about it lasting a month but so far so good. Initially put Boxiecat in 2 boxes and Fresh Step in hall bath because I had 3 boxes to use up. Boxiecat lasted 3 weeks no problem. Last week, Fresh Step gone so I put fresh Boxiecat litter in all 3 boxes to keep all on same schedule. I donโt think a month will be a problem. I have some left to freshen up the boxes as needed. Some reviews said it was expensive and that is true but if I only have to change it every 3 or 4 weeks, it will definitely save me money. I was buying 3 20 pound boxes of litter every week at a cost of $30 - $45, depending on brand. With the Boxiecat I am getting 2 28 pound bags from Amazon repeat delivery every month at at price of $22 each plus one 16 pound bag from PetSmart for $18. That is only about $16/week! Definitely cheaper in the long run. Only complaint so far is the size of the bags. 28 pounds is too much and 16 not enough. I have large cats and large boxes so I use about 20 pounds per box. So far I can supplement the 16 pound bag with what is left from one larger bag and still have some litter left to freshen up the boxes as needed, so I guess it is not a terrible problem. Bigger issue is the awkwardness of handling the 28 pound bags. Would be easier if there was some type of handle but overall I am very satisfied. Back to odor free litter boxes and I donโt have to change them every week. Best of all....my kitty is healthy and no more coughing ๐ธ๐ธ๐ธ

new packaging is HORRIBLE
READ 2ND PARAGRAPH FOR 1 STAR REASON! i Iove this litter. i have been using this for my 3 cats for about 3 years now. i have one older female cat that recently i had to put a senior friendly litter box up in our spare room so she doesn't have to go up and downstairs. even with having a box on our main floor, you can't tell because even the blue unscented bag controls and kitty smells! my 2 male cats are unfortunately kickers so i constantly continue to have to sweep up litter in the basement around their boxes, but it doesnt track nearly as much as their former brand. i also have cat track mats at all the boxes to help this as well. over all, using subscribe & save on these, not having to worry about having to go buy litter, i love this stuff! my cats like to spend a majority of their days outside so i dont have to change their litter as much as an average indoor only cat family so it lasts even longer than the recommended change for us, so the price increase over the couple years hasnt botheree me! if this was 4 months ago, i would give it 5 stars..... 1 STAR REASON: however i am giving it 3 stars because of the new packaging. in the past, it always had a side handle and tear off side corner to lift and pour. now it has this ziploc like closure on the front and no handle. having to pick this this up from this new angle is odd and litter doesnt pour out as well unless you use the front of your body to help keep it propped up enough to handle the top to aid in pouring. who wants to have a bag of litter rubbing up against their shirt?? i hope they go back to the former packaging. i am going to pour it in an old tidy cat bucket that usually holds the clean up bags as soon as new bags come in so i can just cut it open, pour and not deal with new horrible set up.

No dust, no smell
I used to purchase cat litter purchased from the supermarket. It was a clumping litter, but the main complaint was the dust and smell. Whenever cleaning the litter I had a cloud of dust and it was very annoying. Furthermore, the litter was scented and its smell combined with the faeces of the cats was producing a very intense and bad smell. Boxicat, from the other hand, was perfect. The litter does not produce any dust and covers the smells. Highly recommended.

Really does eliminate all smell, but tracks.
The only real disappointment I had ordering this product was that the bag was damaged when it arrived. Which meant that I had a box full of litter that got everywhere. Luckily I keep my litter in a big container, so I could pour it all in there. Other than that, the litter works GREAT. There is absolutely no smell. I just moved in with my boyfriend and he hated the smell of Salem's litter box. I was cleaning it everyday and he was still complaining. I haven't had a single complaint from him since using this litter. It really does kill the smell and the clumping doesn't stick to the litter box. Very easy to clean. Only downside is that it tracks, ALOT. But I am willing to put up with the tracking because of how well it eliminates all smell. I started off just purchasing one bag, I just signed up for a monthly prescription. Would recommend. A bit pricey, but this is the price I must pay for a non-smelly home.

Best cat litter
Best cat litter ever, Iโm hooked on it and can never use anything else again. (I was a little annoyed one time it arrived a bit open but it didnโt feel like much got spilled.)

Great litter
I have a multi indoor cat household, and multiple litter boxes, so needless to say, I spend a significant amount of my time hunched over litter boxes. My cats are extremely fussy about their litter boxes being clean, so I clean them multiple times a day. I tried this litter in desperation because I was sick of inhaling dust (not to mention my concern for my cats inhaling so much dust). One of my cats is a senior and her litter box is in my master bathroom. My bathroom was constantly dusty. This litter is truly dust free, even when pouring it. I no longer have to cover my face when cleaning or filling the litter boxes. My bathroom counter stays dust free. The litter clumps very well, and stays cleaner longer, so that I'm not replacing litter as often. It is more expensive, but I'm not inhaling dust, my cats are not inhaling dust, and I use less litter than other brands, so it is worth the cost to me.
