Reviewers who say that these connectors are too large probably bought the wrong ones. These fit the RG6 cables, which have a larger diameter copper wire in the center than the softer RG59 cables normally used by consumers. The RG6 cables are stiffer and thicker and they are used by satellite TV installers. In fact, these connectors cannot be easily screwed on to the RG6 cables by hand. I have to use a pair of pliers to turn and screw them in slowly, turn by turn. Once installed, they are very secure and will not come off easily.

These connectors were easy to install without a special crimp tool. It was a good fit for the cable sheath/jacket. I cut a few inches off the cable to dispose of corroded wire that had been exposed to the elements, trimmed the end and folded back the braided shield and screwed this right on, making sure there are no shield strands touching the center conductor. I also used a bit of silicone dielectric grease inside the connection to help keep moisture from wicking up inside the cable insulation.Very satisfied with these.

Purchased several. Work great. Easy to use. They fit my rg6 coax perfectly. I purchased to make smaller jumper coax to go from device to splitter.One characteristic I found interesting is the depth of the threads were not as deep as other coax in my house. Personally not concerned about it as they are functioning just as I'd hoped.

Definitely not screw on. Tried multiple times and nothing. I ended up adding electrical tape around the cable cord then put this on it. Then put electrical tape on it and the cord to keep it in place. It worked. I didn’t want to buy compression tool for just one room which is why I bought these. This was cheap but bummed it wasn’t as advertised. Buyer beware. Just Incase anyone was curious it was cable run by the cable company so it is the cable intended for this “screw on” adapter.

The coaxial cable connectors are a good of quality and easy to install. I marked the item down on weatherproof because are just a bit too large in diameter and do not connect firmly to the cable. I do not think they will keep water from getting between the connector and the cable. When attaching the assembled cable to my device the coaxial cable pulled out of the connector.
