Has anyone ever tried spraying a live Christmas tree with this stuff?

Actually, I use the (much cheaper) version instead of the fabric one. We waited until after the holidays out of curiosity to see how well it worked. (we used a potted tree and replanted; we are Jewish but wanted to do a Christmas one year for fun) We cut a branch and let dry for a week or so then tossed it in the fireplace- it took a LONG time to do more than mildly smolder, and it had even gotten rained on a bit when we let it dry... outdoors... in Oregon. I can't speak for the fabric version but just ordered some for porch furniture that people smoke on because the regular one is really impressive on the places I've used it, including an outdoor wooden porch bench (again, in a super wet climate!) Tons of cigarettes have been dropped ok both it and the matrix matting it sits on with no burns. I reapply every spring or two. I'll cut a branch from the pine tree and try it out since my curiosity is renewed, but I do know the standard version works and costs half as much for the same amount.
