Got 2 of these in different sizes for my various DIY ARCA attachments (you know) and they both worked out perfectly. The base is sturdy but easy enough to drill with a steel bit if your attachment has a different mounting base. The large knob is easier and faster to operate than the flip level IMHO for the on-the-run adjustments, and the grip is as tight as you need under the circumstances, instead of one-time setting on the flip level (and worrying about the adjustment screw backing out).

Perfect fit. Was able to modify my Manfrotto head to be arca swiss compatible.

Sturdy and well built. The knob is large and easy to grip!! The clamp mechanism works without issue!!!Wish there were markings on the side so you knew where the center was.Need to test it over 6+ months to see if the knob/ clamp mechanism still work as well as day one!

The center mounting hole looks like your traditional clamp with a countersink. The problem is that they made it 3/8-16 thread, but countersunk it for 1/4-20 flathead countersunk screws. So if you try to run a 3/8-16 countersunk screw, it's too large in the head and doesn't work.So why bother with 3/8-16? It should have just been 1/4-20 to begin with.Furthermore, they do provide a thread reducer to bring the 3/8-16 hole down to 1/4-20. But the big flaw in the provided thread reducer is that it is too tall. When you run the 1/4-20 screw all the way down, the thread reducer protrudes in the countersink of the mounting hole, so the 1/4-20 screw will need to push the thread reducer down. But since the thread reducer is too long, it will the protrude from the bottom clamp so it prevents the clamp from mating flush against a flat surface.In general, this will probably be fine if mounting to a stem, but if you want to mount to a flat surface, you'll need to run set screws instead (with the hope that the other surface's mounting holes either have a bottom out or you can run threadlocker to keep the screws from moving after setting).EDIT: My original assessment can be modified as you technically don't need to have the threads of the center hole of the clamp mount to be the same as the surface mount point. If the surface mount point is 1/4-20, you can leave the thread reducer off and just have the countersink screw capture the clamp into the 1/4-20 mount point without issue. However, if you desire anti-rotation safety stop for the clamp, you will need 1/4-20 set screws to use in the adjacent holes of the clamp.

I needed this to adapt two different telephoto lenses to a large professional monopod. These were the big Nikon lenses on a D5, so some SERIOUS size and weight to the camera and lens (these lenses have a foot that mounts instead of the camera body). This was the perfect size for the monopod head, the gnurled knob has a nice grip and sticks out just enough to be easy to use but not so far out that it will get caught on stuff while shooting. And I feel much better with a nice beefy part with nice beefy screw in lock to keep the camera from ejecting.I'll update the review after living with it for a while, but the size was perfect, and it looks and feels very solid and strong and well made.

I bought another round one from Amazon a few years ago. It was ok but this one is much better and more solid. The tightening knob is good size and easy to turn vs others that are much smaller and you can lose grip on them.Various holes in the unit's base allow for flexibility for mounting. I used the center hole and the supplied screw and it is as solid ass it can get.

Really quality item. Relatively light, but big and sturdy enough that I can trust my 600/4 lens on it, no problem. Like the integrated level, and the big knob allows quick use in the field, even with gloves. 5 stars.
