Excellent Product
This thing works beautifully! It makes hulling quick, easy and neat. I was extremely surprised and very pleased when I first used it. I freeze fresh strawberries for smoothies and this will make it so much faster and easier. My smoothies will taste better, too, since I have ripe berries. If you're using it for a fruit plate or salad, the berries look much neater than they do when hulled with a knife as well.

Works great and safe for kids
This is the easiest and fastest way to remove the stems from strawberries. My 7 year old granddaughter can do it by herself now and no knives are used.

Wish I had this a long time ago.
So great for strawberries ... and tomatoes, even softer tomatoes to get the core out without damaging the rest of the tomato. It's super sharp (important) but there's no risk of cutting yourself. I haven't tried this with a whole pineapple yet but that's next. Fabulous little tool and so easy to clean. Other methods of coring strawberries (spoon, paring knife, etc.) take out too much of the strawberry. This little tool makes precision cuts with no waste.

Works well. Recommended if you eat a lot of strawberries.
Works very well. Much easier than using a knife. More efficient than doing it with fingers. Recommended if you eat a lot of strawberries.

So much better than cheap Chinese units
I keep a strawberry plucker ready at hand in a drawer immediately below our kitchen center aisle table. I use this device not only for plucking the occasional strawberry, but as a general kitchen prep tool, right along with a quality peeler and my collection of sharp knives. It can be used for tomatoes to quickly remove the stem piece For an apple, I pluck both ends, peel, and then halve the apple. The plucker then can be used to neatly remove the seeds and membranes, i.e., core the apple with speed, precision, and minimal waste. I use it for removing bad spots in both sweet and Irish potatoes, for removing oxidative, black, blemishes in a head of cauliflower, or in selectively removing any sort of spot type issue in fruits or vegetables. I frequently buy fresh whole pineapples. After slicing off most of the rough skin, I use the plucker to remove the remaining eyes. Though a bit slower than the specially designed pineapple gouges, the plucker is more thorough and less pineapple is wasted. The Oxo plucker is a bit smaller than cheaper units, but the sharp blades are molded and embedded in such a way that it is far, far easier to keep clean and sanitary as compared to blades that are held in by a piece of added plastic. That feature alone is enough to justify the extra price. The spring loaded hinge is sturdy enough that the two points of the blades do not twist and become misaligned. In short it is the type of well-engineered, well thought out, quality product that we have all become used to from Oxo. Kitchens can become overrun with specialized gadgets, but there are only a few that are actually used over and over again. This Oxo plucker may become just such a gadget for you as it is for me.

Easy, quick, love it!
Finally after much dithering, I selected this strawberry huller. Used it just now , a pound of strawberries was done so much quicker (and safer) than a knife (or even using the drinking straw method). Love it!
