Fantastic value!
For what these cost, they are a fantastic value - very comfortable, and have held up well to the kids use.I strongly recommend these paddles.

Perfect pattles for our canoe
light weight for ease of use; but sturdy enough for regular use. Well designed, actually prefer over more aesthetically looking and traditional looking wooden paddles I also have.

Good Value, Lighweight
Good value for the money. I doubt the floatation foam on the handle will hold up as it's a mediocre quality open cell material, but the paddle is light and rugged enough for our occasional use.

Great for weekend warrior.
Generally just a good paddle for a weekend warrior. I have very little experience so I wouldn’t know a good one if it hit me in the face. I have 4 of these now, for spouse and kids and me. We’re using them on a 16’ Old Town Appalachian canoe and having a great time with it. We have one of those short telescoping paddles for the 4 year old but he cannot even reach the water with it. Gave him a regular 54” and he uses it without a problem......It being understood a 4 year old will get in everyone else’s way anyhow. The handle is shaped well, very few blisters, even having been out 3 or 4 hours with the two big boys. The paddle will sink. Make a lanyard or just risk it. It will float for a few seconds until the aluminum pole fills with water, then say goodbye. You’d think they would fill the pole with foam or something...... guess it sells better this way.Still a good bargain. The 54” seems to go on super sale often, for just around 6 bucks or so, get an extra.

Ideal paddle
I bought the long paddle and it will work as advertised. This paddle is light and easy to use.

Don't waste your money.
I know its cheap, but these are complete garbage. The poles are so weak / thin it seriously broke in about 3 minutes of normal use. And I don't mean banging it on a rock or something. The pole just collapsed pushing against water. You know - the very thing it was designed to do.I recommend you burn a $10 bill instead. It'll be faster, and not leave you stranded in a lake.On the plus side, it broke so fast I had really easy swim back to shore!

Too lightweight for rafting
2 paddles broke in half the 1st day we used them! Very lightweight aluminum, too thin for rafting. Tried to return without success.
