I have bought sever Plant Therapy essential oils and have enjoyed every single one. This Balsam Fir did not disappoint.

I am very pleased with this oil. It smells just like a fresh cut Christmas tree!

Love this all natural essential oil. I was hoping it might smell more like pine for a Christmas smell in my home, but still a quality oil.

Smells nothing like Balsam Fir. It is such a foul smell. Furthermore, despite being advertised as new, the product arrived with a broken seal, suggesting prior use. This essential oil diffuser was expected to function correctly, however, the aroma is completely different from the intended scent. The fragrance is unpleasant, reminiscent of mothballs and a nursing home, lacking any herbaceous notes.

[EDIT] I'm updating my review because scents can be so subjective. I kept the bottle around and found that using it diluted in a cleaning spray seems to work well for the scent. Also, my partner doesn't remotely find the scent as disagreeable as I do — again, scents are just such a subjective thing. Keeping the original review below for reference.ORIGINAL REVIEW:It smells lemon-y and oddly artificial, not at all what I think of as "balsam fir".I used it in an aroma diffuser, and while I usually give home fragrances some time before I decide if I want to keep using them, the smell of this was just so disagreeable to me that I had to turn it off within minutes and rinse my diffuser out.That said, scents are such a personal thing, it really is best practice to shop in person. I took a chance here, knowing that essential oils typically cannot be returned or exchanged, and do have a case of buyers remorse this time.Just leaving this here in case any other shoppers (e.g. my past self) need this reminder — it's always a safer bet to shop for a scent in person if you can help it. :)

I have been looking for a way to make my place smell like Balsam Fir. There are some candles in all the shops that are amazing, but I'm likely to burn through a $30 candle in like 3 days. So...I went down this rabbit hole, got a warmer and I'm very pleased. I do need to touch up every day, but a few drops does it. This will save me a ton of money, and the scent is spot on.

Very disappointed...not sure what the smell is...but is definitely NOT Balsam Fir.
