I have no actual complaints with the product. It’s does as described and exactly what I expected from it, but £70 for 4 small sheets of orange plastic with a couple of magnets on is extortionate and I cannot justify the value for money. It is presented well, easy to use as well as install and it does perform well and makes the light from the laser less bright…just can’t get over the price for what it is. They could easily sell this for £25 or £30 and still be making massive markup from what it would cost to manufacture.

Honest product review from a genuine laserpecker user. I own three laserpeckers, a one pro (deluxe kit) and two LP2's, ultimately translating to a fair amount of experience and knowledge through trial and error with these two engraving devices. While the LP 2 and upwards have integrated shields the LP1 100% portable engraver does not and for the sake of eye protection, surrounding the engraver with an all-round shield is a must, it's impossible to predict where stray beams go. Pets eyes are particularly vulnerable too. People sitting around in the vicinity of an active LP1 can unintentionally be sat at eye height with stray reflected beams. They may not be as highly focused as the focal point of the laser, but it's astonishing how much is randomly refocused and reflected off other reflective surfaces in the room. As my attached picture shows, I take mine into the local forest to engrave stinky materials, where eye protection is absolutely essential. But I can't afford to give every passer by eye protection. Conclusion: Expensive, but ultimately our eyes are priceless and irreplaceable. The laserpecker four piece magnetic acrylic shields are not only a convenient solution, but they also allow the freedom to position the shields however you want! And guess what... Eight magnetic shields are even better than four! 👍

I brought this as I have a new puppy and really just to protect her eyes 👀. Does the job 👍🏻

Great and easy protection, along with a mini hepa air filter, this helps not only protect your eyes and but helps keep the smoke in the area when engraving things

For the Laser Pecker, the Shield is absolutely essential. Some applications are limited by the included cone-shaped shroud with the fan (which is really handy too). The shield makes observation and alignment (with protective glasses) very easy indeed without having to move the laser pecker up and down.
