What's a good adventure movie to you? If it's a movie with a neat premise and excitement then this movie is for you. Nicolas Cage is excellent as an odd man who's been able to see every outcome for every action over the next two minutes since birth. Such a person's world would be odd indeed and Cage plays that sort of disjointed human perfectly. Two minutes is the limit of his ability but you'll be amazed at how helpful that can be. Two minutes, that is, until he sees a girl in his future. Who knows where his basically magical ability came from or it's meaning? It is tied in some small part to this girl, Jessica Biel. Julianne Moore plays an unpleasant Federal agent who's prickly as hell. Her demeanor is likely necessary due to the stakes. Some nondescript terrorists want to blow up a nuclear bomb in Los Angeles and Moore's character wants to use Cages powers to find them first. Watching this special person do his special things is extremely fun. When the feds storm the terrorist hide out and they're all making their way through the area it's a treat to watch all the soldiers crouched and running, looking everywhere for the bad guys when Cage's character is just walking with them. He knows at all times when a bullet might find him.Some critics panned the ending but I found the explanation of the girl's influence a reasonable one. They also complained of a lot of plot holes of which I only saw one. How did the bad guys know Cage's character would ruin their plans? That would likely have been explained in a sequel. Did the bad guys have a Nicolas Cage of their own? What were his/her powers? We'll never know now because today's critics wouldn't know a fun movie if it kicked them in the junk!Watch this movie and enjoy!PeteR..

This is about a man who can see two minutes into the future. Cris, played by Nicolas Cage, a magician in Las Vegas, has the uncanny ability to see into the future. FBI Agents, one in particular, Callie, played by Julianne Moore, is in hot pursuit of Cris for his expertise in looking into the future. Callie wants Cris to help locate in which U.S. city a nuclear bomb has been placed. Cris eludes the agents and meets Liz at a diner, and they decide to travel together to Flagstaff.Liz says she has to make a two hour or so stop along the way which is at the Havasupai Native American Reservation located next to the Grand Canyon. Liz teaches a class at the reservation. The view of the Grand Canyon is spectacular.Liz and Cris leave the reservation and go to a remote cabin where they stay the night. The next morning, Liz goes to town to purchase some supplies and she is accosted by FBI Agent Callie who shows her a video about Cris indicating that he is a fugitive from justice. Callie convinces Liz to slip a pill in Cris' drink to make him sleep and the agents will take him away. Will Liz put the pill in Cris's orange juice?This is an intense film, filled with a lot of action.Nicolas Cage as Cris is outstanding. Juliane Moore as FBI Agent Calli is excellent. Jessica Biel as Liz is outstanding and quite beautiful The supporting cast is outstanding.

I first saw this in 2007 and liked it. It is perhaps Cage's best performance, at least easily the most palatable.Pulling for him to win at every turn (no pun intended) was easy. The one thing that I thought loosened up the script (spoilers ahead) was the following. If they did not close down the cell towers and the sniper reported in that he was killed, then there would be no reason to hold his girl as bait. She, and the bomb strapped to her body would no longer be necessary. But then the rest of the picture came to light. The writers figured out that this was a flaw and fixed it. The only thing I was still hoping to see was how he was going to actually locate the bomb, but instead I was staring at the credits! I hope he someday finishes this movie, especially nowadays when ...

This film ticks all the boxes for me: Intriguing, a bit of light comedy, quite a lot of action with dramatic scenes, not too much sex, swearing or violence and no drug-taking. The plot is simple but engaging, and I thought the acting was good. The characters are believable and although you might think the whole idea behind the film is totally ridiculous, you might change your mind after hearing the interview with Nicholas Cage in the extras.

This is one of those films that was met with mixed reviews, possibly because it seemed a little odd that his visions into the future were so short - except when it concerned Liz Cooper, played by Jessica Biel.With a terrorist plot to set off a nuclear device on the cards, the FBI and the terrorists hot on his tail, Cris Johnson goes on the run, but can only go so far before the Feds catch up with him, forcing him to help them foil the terrorists plans. Things however, don't go quite the way they were planned...

I had not heard of this movie before finding it on amazon, but i thought i would give it a go and i was really surprised to find that it was a fantastic action movie with an interesting story line, there aren't many movies out there that can capture your imagination and keep you enthralled the entire way through the movie, but that is exactly what it did and it left me wanting next number 2!! Great buy, very recommended.

With the actors involved I thought this would be a very good film. The idea was good. However there are so many downs about this film. For a start Julianne Moore is totally miscast. Nicolas Cage seems bored having to play the same role over and over again. There are so many inconsistences in the plot it just becomes a bore of a film. I wouldn`t watch it again,
