Excellent phone, I'd buy it again tomorrow.
Just absolutely thrilled with this phone. I wanted a practical phone that was fast, and not too big, but not too small. After having Samsung phones for years, I am glad I made the switch to ASUS. Keep doing what you're doing ASUS, because I will never go back to Samsung if you guys keep making great phones like this. The camera is a dream, it just works for exactly how I needed it to work, and takes really nice pictures. It may not have the hype of some of the other more expensive camera's, but I'm very pleased with it.

Frustrating close to greatness, but doesn't support voice on AT&T
I have been on a quest for a smaller Android phone that can come close to the rock solid experience that I am still getting from my 2020 iPhone SE. The Zenfone 8 hits a lot of the right requirements - only a few millimeters longer than the iPhone SE, good enough camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, and a very bright and responsive touchscreen. However, I learned the hard way that this phone does not support VoLTE or HD Voice, and therefore I cannot send or receive voice calls on this phone using the AT&T service. I will either have to return this phone or switch to T-Mobile, and neither option is appealing. Finally, regarding value, the iPhone SE is still *THE* benchmark. I was ok paying the premium for the Zenfone 8 due to the dual SIM support, but I had a bear of a time getting my fingerprints to register.

Great Phone when it was first bought but........
I bought this phone April 29 2022 and by February 28 2023 the phone went dead. I enjoyed the phone while it lasted but i don't understand why a phone should just go off while I was using it. Now, I have lost all my data. The phone just refuse to charge. Its so ANNOYING...Please Don't Buy This Phone

ASUS Zenfone 8
I liked the performance in this device and the 120hz makes it really smooth. However, and speaking from experience, something to consider is that my device had a colder tone than normal out of the box, so I changed the color and/or tone settings. Still, it was a bit colder than I wanted. In addition, the phone can get pretty hot when playing heavy games like Genshin Impact, but with light games will do fine. Overall is pretty good.

there's still a place for small(er) phones
I really enjoy using this phone and I'm so glad Asus resisted the trend of bigger and bigger phones. It fits perfectly in my hand (average men's size) and despite being almost all screen in front it's not hard to reach every corner of it. It's close to the limits of easy one-handed use. The specs are highly competitive for this price at this time. More small(er) phones please!

Perfect match to what I like
Plug in the SIM card, that is. Works like champ with ATT carrier.

UPDATE THE SOFTWARE
The phone is sleek and feels fantastic, that being said you absolutely have to update all the built-in software before you start installing apps and uninstalling or disabling bloatware. The reason for this is that the phone has some pretty serious overheating and lag issues that were addressed after a software update or two. So if you start using it straight out of the box without these updates, you're in for a bad time and a hot pocket.

Late to fix but awesome now
Was upset after the new phone started to heat too much for simple day to day tasks, selfie cam in low warm light was horrible, battery life was pathetic... finally after getting the latest update 30.11.51.83 phone is working like charm now.
