Best Price/Feature OBD2 scanner. Built in power switch and WiFi
Good overall product. I have used it with Android and iOS phones. The power button is a nice touch and the LED's are not overwhelming or a distraction. Using WIFI is actually a good choice. I've never had connection problems. The included instructions are actually pretty good and showed me which network and password and how to set up a static IP of necessary (with both Android and iOS).Apps suggested:iOS: FOUR Stroke is the best free app on iOS and reads codes properly and allows basic instrumentation. You have to pay for advanced instrumentation. The rest of the free ones are garbage. Dash Command is the best App if you're paying ($9.99)Android has a LOT more variety of free apps. Torque (light) is a good free app and has more features with the paid mode. Dash Command is the best selection for Android with more intuitive controls and features.

The technology for a live data feed is just not there yet...
Update 2.2.2017: VeePeak customer service responded to my inquiry within 24 hours, however they had little insight to offer. Since that time I have attempted to use the scan tool on 2 other cars (foreign and domestic) but no matter what car I use the tool on, the scan tool will not stay connected to the DashCommand App for more than about 30 seconds. I was able to clear error codes on my own car one time, however it has not worked since then to clear codes, and or even consistently connect to any car.DashCommand consistently indicates that it is not connected, then connected, then "Failure to Connect to OBD", etc. I have removed and re-installed the DashCommand App to see if this would correct the problem, but no such luck. Time to spend the money on a non-generic OBD2 scan tool.Update: 2/9/2017 bespeak Customer Service has responded and is shipping me a new scan tool. I have used two different OBD apps and the current scan tool will no longer connect to either app, despite the phone showing that it is connected to the WiFi. I'll report back after I receive the replacement scan tool.Initial impressions: Worked great for reading, checking, and clearing diagnostic error codes one time.I was intending to use this tool with my iPhone 7 for monitoring coolant temperature, intake & exhaust temperature, and boost/vacuum levels in my 2009 Mini Coooper S. Unfortunately, for my purposes, this item does not meet my needs due to it's inability to stay connected to my iPhone for continuous monitoring of this vital information. I purchased the iPhone App DashCommand to use with this item as DashCommand is highly rated. My guess is that WiFi is too easily interrupted to be a consistently strong source for the data that I am needing.I have reached out to Veepeak's Customer Service to see if they have any insight.

Never Worked
Never worked. Like others, it simply never connected, despite days trying with 5 different OBD apps, to include recommendations of VeePeak. One of the 5 was DashCommand (paid app). Frustrating. I ended up ordering Kobra Wireless (available on Amazon and for less money) that worked out of the box with all 5 apps. Flawlessly, has never disconnected. Although liked the more compact design of this VeePeak, small is worthless if it does not work. The Kobra is a bit bigger (sticks out from OBD port about an inch more) but it works great. The DashCommand app is nice, and I think worth the $10 price, and really puts my higher end Actron wired unit as a back up.Kobra link on Amazon >> KOBRA Wireless OBD2 Car Code Reader Scan Tool [Upgraded 2017 Version] Connects Via WiFi With Any IOS, Android & Windows Device - Features A 3000 Code Database, For Most Cars & Trucks In The USA

Veepeak works but takes 3 to 5 minutes to connect to iphone.
So far giving this a one star. It works but takes 3 to 5 minutes to finally to connect to the dashcommand for iphone app. It keeps timing out and retrying to connect and then does. But waiting for that long with the engine running is wasting time and gas. I have contacted Veepeak about this matter to see what they can do for me and will get back and change my rating if they can solve my issue. My car is a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS model. So far Dashcommand has contacted me but no solution so my only thought is the other half of the connection which is the Veepeak. Please help.Veepeak was great and replaced my unit and now it works perfect. Thanks VeepeakThanks

Works well with Leafspy pro on IOS and Android w/o bluetooth
I prefer the wifi over bluetooth. I have used this successfully with Leafspy pro on both Apple IOS and Android devices. I like the on/off button also. This is not the least expensive device and far from the most expensive. I like the ability to see tire pressure on all four tires without getting down on your hands and knees. If you plan to buy a used Nissan LEAF, get this first so you can check the SOH (State of Health) of the traction battery. You can see remaining battery capacity as a percent. A must have for LEAF Drivers. SOH = 100%- percent loss below.1 Loss of seven battery capacity bars (52.5%)2 Loss of six battery capacity bars (46.25%)3 Loss of five battery capacity bars (40%)4 Loss of four battery capacity bars (33.75%)5 Loss of three battery capacity bars (27.5%)6 Loss of two battery capacity bars (21.25%)7 Loss of one battery capacity bar (15%)8 No loss of battery capacity bar(s) (0%)

Customer Service is Amazing!
I purchased this to use both as a diagnostic tool and as a cheap alternative to spending many hundreds of dollars on gauges (well, at least to hold me over until I can spend that money :p).My first unit communicated very well with the OBD Fusion app. Notice I said "first unit". After just a short trip to the grocery store, it burnt out and was completely useless.Veepeak's customer service stepped in and was absolutely amazing. Sent me a new unit as soon as I emailed them. The new unit has not malfunctioned. I've been using it occasionally on my 40 minute commute.A lot of these little gizmos exist on Amazon. You can take your pick. However, you may not have great customer service once you get the other options home. I'll be buying from Veepeak again, simply because I know the customer service is top notch.
