1.) We have five dogs.2.) We have lots of portable gates that we keep moving in and out of door frames as needed.3.) We got tired of "running out of hands" moving gates and got tired of having loosely fit gates fall out of door frames.We have purchased and used other Richell products and found them to be of very good quality.We had one door that was too big for most portable gates to fit easily and too small for a full free standing gate.This seemed to be the perfect solution. It installed without tools in seconds. Pressure fit inside the door frame.The gate has a nice solid latch that is easy to leave open or lock closed with one hand.We have had this for about 6 weeks and use it every day.We are very pleased with it.

We love the way this gate looks! They sent plenty of extension sizes so we were able to achieve a perfect fit. This was the 4th gate we tried to make fit. Thankfully, we found this one! You have to spend a little time to get the right fit, but it is worth it. *Also, as noted in the instructions, don't freak out when you get it out of the box and it looks defective where the gate closes. Somehow it actually does fix itself once installed. Now we have no dogs or grandkids running up the stairs :) & it looks great too!

measurement at the top of the ACTUAL GATE is 26 inches...the height measurement advertised is when measured to the tip top of the handle to make the gate sound 4-5 inches higher than it really is. I have dog gates in other doorways of my house that are the same height as advertised and after I put this one up I noticed it is significantly lower in height just eyeballing it. Being curious, I got out my trusty tape measurer and measured three different times very carefully. They think they can pull the wool over other people's eyes, but not on my watch. The other reviews are either written by people who are idiots or don't care they were scammed or are entirely fake reviews. If you're looking for specific measurements, don't let these flimflammers bamboozle you. I'll be returning this P.O.S. straight away!!!NOT ONLY DO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEVER BUYING THIS PRODUCT, BUT I ALSO RECOMMEND NEVER BUYING FROM THIS SELLER OR MANUFACTURER WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE THEY'RE LYING ABOUT?!?!PS: I'll also be contacting amazon corporate office, and their fraud department to inform them about this buffoonery. My faith in the amazon seller community is shaken to the very core. I am appalled that this kind of thing is allowed to happen on such a reputable website.I'll write more here later detailing how the return process goes, if the seller tries to stall or makes a prompt resolution or if I have to resort to demanding a chargeback.

Second one of this brand. Now that I understand the directions I like them so much better. This is necessary to keep my chihuahua off rugs when I am away. Even keeps my Mom's 2lb chihuahua contained. Also so much easier than climbing over those cheaper gates. And stylish as in not ugly. If you want to upgrade this is the one.

This is the best gate I have had. Very hlnice looking, door swings in and out, and I don't trip walking through it. Nice product!

I believe this gate is available in two heights, standard and tall. I’ve used the tall gate for years and have been very satisfied. It’s extremely sturdy and worth every penny. I was surprised reading the poor reviews. My experience has been a 10 out of 10. I so appreciate companies that provide high quality products. I’m buying another one for our lower level. So many problems with this gate. One, it is marketed as a "wooden" gate, but only the main gate door is wood. The rest is cheap wood colored metal. If someone is buying an extra wide gate, it is because they will need the extensions, so I'm not sure why those aren't wood as well. For how much this gate costs, they should be. Two, the pins for the extension brackets needed to be pounded in because nothing was lining up easily. Each one was an effort to get through. Finally, the company put 4 LARGE stickers on the gate. About 6" each. I get the need for safety stickers, but again, if you are charging people this much for a gate please get the stickers right and make them a low tac adhesive. These were near impossible to get off. I went through a half bottle of goo gone and had to scrap with a plastic scraper for over a half hour. Total waste of time. And now that it is up, I just keep looking at it disappointed that the large majority of it is metal.
