Get what you pay for, but it works
Cheap and decent value. It is a cheap coffee maker that was available for next day delivery when old maker died after 20 years. It is very flimsy and of cheap quality but it serves the purpose. Also has electrical burnt smell from burner. Using it almost a year now, multiple pots a day

Buyer beware...
Would not recommend. It takes 30 minutes to brew a cup of coffee. When it gets done it's not even a full pot. Also, coffee doesnt stay hot enough. I gave flavor 3 stars because the coffee does taste good.

Great little coffee maker
Got this coffee maker for work, and it works great. It takes up little space, is easy to clean and fill, is fairly quiet, brews well and keeps the coffee good and hot. There's nothing special here, but it does exactly what I want it to!

You get what you pay for
This is a cheap, little coffee maker. It works relatively effectively for one or two people (at least so far it has). Many others have alluded to the poor quality of the coffee maker, and it is is a (very) low quality maker. I pulled it out and ran the coffee maker with water (to clean it out); in the first "run" of the maker, the area around the heating pad started to crack. For me, this is isn't necessarily a deal breaker, as the coffee maker itself still runs, and I only make enough coffee for one person anyway. If you are looking for a sizable coffee maker for more than 2 people or for a household of active coffee consumers, this is not your product. If you are looking for a high quality coffee maker that can handle making several cups, this is not your product. HOWEVER, if you are looking for a cheap, small, coffee maker, this works. Some tips, if you do intend on buying it:- Do not put excessive grounds in the basket. Not only will it clog up your maker, but it's a pain to clean up.- The line to "2" is enough for one decently sized cup of coffee for ONE individual- I recommend filling it at MAX to line 3 and only using a max of 3 scoops of coffee (the coffee maker is a 1 to 1 water to scoop ratio).

Old Model was better. permanent filter still works but the old model had a cone/wedge
It was an improvement as the base is better sealed then the old unit. The basket is still a filter fabric and usable without a filter. Spout unlike the old cone has 6 or so outlets to spread the water over the circular basket.issues - The pot tends to hang on the fill stopper button on trying to replace it, you have to aim the spout straight on and often hold the machine as the resistance to replacing the pot moves the machine.Cone/wedge filter style unit had a single water outlet in the center, this better concentrated the water in the thickest coffee area and made stronger coffee. with the new basket type I tend to have to add more coffee and have added a ring filter that I wash out after from a press unit to make the coffee drain a little slower. the cone was harder to clean but gave better overall taste.for the price it's a decent value. it says do not fill over 4 cups but I fill it 4 1/4 to cover water absorbed into grounds. remember 4 cups are not real cups, but small 6 oz .. will fill 2 USA 12 oz standard coffee cups.Update, under 1 year and the element died so it will not keep coffee warm or even pump the water.replacement on the way from the manufacturer. So if nothing, Kudos for resolving the early demise.

Mmmm Coffee
My husband the coffee addict broke our last crappy coffee maker. He claims the steam made the top crack on its own. It might have, who knows. Anyway, we've had this for like 8 months and no issues at all. Works well, its small enough but makes up to four coffee cups (my husband drinks 4 each morning), and its a good price. :)

Disappointing
Looks neat but whom ever designed it was way off track. Diffficult to pour water into. So noisy that it will wake up the whole house. Flimsy build and at times coffee will not drain into pot. Warming pad under pot barely warm till turned on at least an hour. Just cheap all around. I would not recommend not would I buy it again.

TRHE WORST COFFEE MAKER I'VE EVER PURCHASED
I bought this coffee maker because of the color (all if my other counter top appliances are red) and for the ease of use. Although it's super easy to use, it brews way too fast and the coffee was weak despite the fact that I actually add extra coffee because I like mine strong. It also doesn't let you know when the brewing is done. I'm used to at least a beep to let me know. This coffee maker is great for people who like luke warm coffee. After just adding a dollup of half & half, the heat is gone. Again, it's pretty and easy to use but if you like a hot cup of coffee, DO NOT BUY THIS COFFEE MAKER! I'll keep it in case of emergencies but I'll be spending a lot more money on a coffee maker that actually works.
