Great blades, effortless shave, love the weighted handle
This set with blades, weighted handle and shave gel really exceeded my expectation. I had mostly used Gillette before, which worked fine, had no serious objections. However, I decided to give the Dollar Shave Club set a try and ... it was much better. Effortless shave. The gel was good, though I think a lot of shave gels are fine. I also had no idea that I'd like the weighted handle so much. Until I tried it, I didn't know I was missing it. In summary ... this product outperforms the Gillette I have used for a long time, and it's less expensive. The handle also helps a lot in both feel (the weight gives it kind of a Mercedes door feel ... very satisfying) and in balance (sharp blades plus good balance leads to safe effortless shaving.

Sweet little package
I was running out of shaving cream and razors so I decided to buy these. The shaving cream works surprisingly well with not much product used and the actual razor handle and guards feel high quality. This is probably a great package to gift to a teen/adolescent to get them started in men’s grooming.

Great shave !!!
Was skeptical about buying this shaving kit. But not anymore. The razor handles great. Along with the butter shaving cream, the shave was very smooth.

So so shave
I have used a Harry razor for a few years. I decided to try a Dollar razor, thought it might be better. It was not. Mediocre shave at best,

These shavers are top notch, they get very close, and will not cut you!
I was using a straight blade, safety razor for probably the last seven years because I always had issues getting in-grown hairs on my face after using a cheap disposable razor. Recently when using the straight blade, safety razor, I was getting annoying cuts that would bleed like crazy on my face I’m guessing because I could no longer get the brand of blade that was meant for my particular razor. I got set up with this and thought of dollar shave club from the ads I’ve seen in the past. I don’t think I’ll ever buy another razor again besides refill for the dollar sales club razor. Like I said it gets so nice and close without cutting you. I love the way my face feels after a fresh clean shave with this razor.

Not great
To be honest, this is probably the worst razor I’ve ever owned. I used it to shave my legs initially, and found that regardless of shaving methods, I.e. in the shower, on dry legs with this brands shaving cream or shaving butter, using an alternative shaving cream, etc etc, that the shave was not smooth and there were LARGE patches of hair that were completely missed by the razor. I was finally able to get a relatively smooth shave on my calves after countless runs with this razor, which left my legs feeling razor burned in some areas. To make matters worse, I then attempted to shave my armpits with this product and I ended up giving up on getting any more hair taken off after about 5 minutes of trying each of the above methods. I also have a few small skin tags in my arm pits that typically cause some discomfort when shaving, but this razor was so terrible that it didn’t nothing by to them or the hair I was trying to remove. I eventually had to leave the house with a half shaven and incredibly sore armpit coupled with completely unshaven thighs since the blades made no impact on any of the hairs growing there. I did not attempt to shave any other areas for fear of injuring myself further. Don’t waste your money on this product just because the marketing tells you it’s good. You’re better off with the disposable razors from the dollar store than this one. The one plus, is that despite gos many times I ran the blades over my skin it did not cause a single cut or nick, which could be due to the inferior quality and dullness of the blades.
