Just needed an on-off switch so this was perfect. The cord isn't real long, but that was OK for our use. The power convertor is small enough (about the size of a pack of smokes) to velcro up underneath the cabinets & not be seen unless you're a very short person.UPDATE #1I bought 2 more of these to power some LED lights in my Father's condo. The 1st one started flickering & then cycling on & off. The other one lasted maybe 5 minutes before it shut off & then emitted black smoke from insideUPDATE #2:Upon further research I found out the LED strips I was using can draw anywhere from 3-5A for the entire 5 meters strip which I was not aware of. Even if using only 1/2 of the 5 meter strip, the current COULD be as much as 2.5A which is in excess of the 2A rating for these units.So, in the end I was overloading the units which caused them to fail.UPDATE #3:Before I realized MY mistake, I was preparing to return them for a refund. After exchanging emails with the manufacturer it was determined that yes, they were not strong enough for what I was using them for. Despite MY mistake they have asked me to return them & are refunding the cost! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!BOTTOM LINE!!!! BE SURE OF THE LOAD YOU ARE SUPPLYING!

I'd like to rewrite my review.Original purchase:I bought this adapter to power an LED light, I did not know the power requirements but I was told it was 12V and 2A, so I bought this adapter. Upon receiving it, it looked good, the switch was really handy, and it worked well at first. But after running the light for a couple of hours, the power supply would overheat and shut off. I wasn't too happy.Customer service:I left a review right here, a pretty poor review, and stated that the product did not work as advertised, and asked the seller if they would replace it. They contacted me via email, asked a few questions, and then stated that the original product was most likely defective, and they sent me an exact replacement for free. Great customer service!Replacement product:The replacement seems to work better, it doesn't overheat and shut off, however it does get really hot. The seller said this was ok, but I think it's dangerously hot where it could cause a fire. So I will have to use a different adapter.Bottom line:The product did not work for me, but fantastic customer service, I will be leaving seller feedback as well.

This was the best deal I could find for a set of power adapters and switches! I am in the process of rigging my makeup mirror with LED lights for better makeup lighting and this was PERFECT for that project. They work great and cut out a few steps by having a switch attached already. Otherwise, I would have to find one that I could attach in line, but this was much easier. Both of them and the switches work well and they even come with 2 adhesive patches that allow you to mount them anywhere you'd like so that the switch isn't flying or hanging around. I have used them to mount it to the back of my mirror so that it is conveniently located. My cat also chews wires all the time so this is just an extra step that keeps him from destroying the power cord. I will probably be repurchasing these soon, since I have a few other LED projects I am working on. I would absolutely suggest that you get these for the price and quality!

I got two of these to power the LEDs on the new workbenches I built. I initially got these because it had enough power for future lights and it has a built in switch. One of them works flawlessly and the other overheats and shuts off after about 15 min. Ill probably order another one because I already have the wires managed for this particular power supply. So lets hope the next one works out fine.

It's a power supply so there's not much to say, I like the quick connect for fan hookup. The switch worked but I cut it off for my application. We'll see how long it lasts.

These power adaptors were just perfect for the LED strip lights I had ordered (and didn't realize until too late that they didn't have adaptors supplied with them). The on/off switch is in the cord, and works great. The lights can be dimmed with a different adaptor, but on/off is all I wanted for this project. Very much recommend them!

wish it had been the answer to my prayer, but it was not bought it to fix a Thomas Kinkaid picture worked only a few minutes and stopped working again due to a bad power outage to my home and it was my favorite picture was not the plugs fault hopefully I can use it elsewhere

Bought this for an LED project. I plugged it in and it immediately started buzzing loudly. Within 30 seconds after plugging it in there was a loud pop and it started to smoke. Returned for refund.
