I won't disagree that this is a heavy sucker, but the pole dimensions are misleading. The inner diameter is 1 7/8. No way can I fit the 2 inch pole.

Oh boy this thing is heavy solid steel. I’m a strong guy but it was heavy to carry two handed. I actually found it easier to carry it in one arm like carrying a textbook in high school. The pole is also solid but manageable. Assembly is easy. Put the tapered screw looking thing into the pole bottom (with tapering towards bottom), then twist the pole into the square steel base. There is a round grommet to put on top of the pole, just push it in. Finally there are two hand twisting screws to tighten when your umbrella actually goes in. That’s all. I placed my base on concrete so I used a piece of rubber under it so I could have finger room to lift and push it to its proper place. When I got closer to the end I removed the rubber and I was able to push and maneuver the base in small increments on the concrete until I got it perfectly under the patio table. Works well with the 1-1/2” pole umbrella that I own.

Overall, the umbrella stand does seem fairly sturdy but the bonus sand bag that was supposed to be included was NOT sent. As this was a large reason for purchasing this umbrella stand it does NOT meet expectation.

I've only had it for a few days, and haven't really needed to open the umbrella yet, but it is a nice, heavy base. I love that it's flat and square, unlike so many other ugly umbrella bases. I'll update my review if anything goes wrong, but so far, so good. The only additional thing that would have been nice is if they had included some hard rubber feet. As it is now, the smooth, shiny bottom is sitting directly on my concrete patio, so you know how that's going to end up looking. I have to go to Home Depot to find some sort of hard rubber washers or grommets to place under the base.

Very sturdy and heavy duty. Our umbrella barely moves in a pretty strong wind. Exactly what we needed! High recommend.

This has held our umbrella quite well! It's actually very windy right now and it's not even budging.

I’m not happy because they are rusting my patio😡I’m amending my review because they have had good customer service! I explained my problem and they are sending me new umbrella bases to replace the ones that were rusting. I purchased 4 for my patio but only 2 had the problem. Customer service is very important!

The stand definitely does the job that we wanted. Our only complaint was the plastic bushing that went between the umbrella pole and the base was cracked and didn't give the cushion between the 2 metal surfaces. There was no option to request a new bushing, only to return the entire base for a new one. Such a waste of product, and energy to deliver it, return it and then deli er it again. There really needs to be a way to mitigate these small problems rather than junk the whole thing.
