Great for travel, less for for home use.
We love this little monkey so much!I was told of the wonders of white noise machines by other moms so I decided to try one for myself. I wanted something that wouldn’t break the bank and that was relatively small (we don’t have a lot of space) and portable (my son’s naps are not taken where he sleeps at night)First, I love how we can hang this guy almost anywhere. The plastic clip isn’t the easiest to clip and unclip and because it’s stiff plastic, I was sure it would break...but it hasn’t. I think the stiff plastic makes it a bit more secure too (though I wouldnt mind something easier...)I love every sound setting, but my favorite is the rain sound, it’s super soothing and when I first started using it, I’d forget it was on and I’d think I heard water pattering away.It hasn’t been the magic device at getting my 2 month old to sleep longer, but it does prevent him from stirring and waking at every little noise, which is awesome. It has even helped me sleep a little better at night as it masks some of his smaller noises from my “mommy senses”Overall this is a great little white noise machine. It comes with lots of noise options (waves, rain, a lullaby, a heartbeat, and white noise) and two timer settings (15 and 30 minutes). It also has a scaling sound control, which is awesome. It can be left on continuously tooThe product info says that it should last on its batteries for about 300 hours (though this probably depends on the volume I’d guess. We did have an issue with our first monkey dying after only a couple nights, but we were able to get a replacement and so far we haven’t had any issues (and we’ve been using it nightly for 10+ hours and for every nap)My only complaint at this point is that plastic clip, but if it becomes enough of an issue, I’ll just clip a caribiner to it.This monkey is well worth the cost and I am even thinking of ordering a second to keep in the diaper bag. I only wish they came in different animals!*update*I am taking away a few stars because this thing still dies way too often, the longest it’ll stay on for us is 45ish hours (split up into a few nights). I hate when it dies in the middle of the night, resulting in my baby waking up screaming. Not cool. It’s probably great for travel for a couple of nights, but we will have to bite the bullet and find something a little more powerful for normal nights

The sound seems great (we usually use the rain setting)
The sound seems great (we usually use the rain setting), and the portability is perfect for when we're spending the night away from home. We started using this when my son was about 11 months old, and it seemed to help him sleep through the night a little easier since it drowned out extra noise. He's 15 months old now and still uses it every night. The one major drawback that I see (which is obvious considering the portability of this product) is the batteries running out. It's happened twice that the batteries ran out in the middle of the night, which meant that my son didn't sleep quite as well those nights. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any way to tell when the battery is getting low, so it's a bit of a guessing game. I think the only thing that would make this better would be some kind of battery indicator light, which is why we'll be purchasing a plug-in noise machine for his room shortly and just using this for the times that he sleeps away from home.

Love this noise machine. Perfect for fussy baby, or rocking baby to sleep.
This noise machine is great, especially for the price it can not be beat. I felt compelled to write a review after I saw a few complaints about battery life. We have been using it for a month, and not changed the batteries yet. We run it while rocking our infant to sleep at night, and for rocking before every nap, and occasionally when he is fussy, around an hour or two a day. We run it at about half volume, the louder it is the more battery it will take. This is more than sufficient at about 2 to 3 feet away. The complaints had to be from people thinking they could run it all through the night. If that's what you are after, be smarter than that and buy a plug in one for that type of use. The sound quality is the same as what we have in our other toy noise machines, perfect for putting a baby asleep, your not getting high dollar stereo speakers, but your using it for back ground noise to sooth a baby, it works great and sounds great. I would highly suggest getting this if your looking for an affordable toy noise machine for intermittent use.

Decent portable sound machine
I love this mobile noise machine! I used it for a while before I had a bigger, plug- in noise machine. The timer works great, even though it only has 15min and 30 mins. If I needed longer than that I just left it on without the timer. I feel like the volume is a bit louder than I like, but it doesn't bother my kids. I think it's just me because I like things super soft or no noise at all. It was a great price and it lasted awhile on the batteries as long as we weren't using it all night. Overall, great for us.

Effective portable white noise thing
Disclaimer: I was NOT given a discount or anything for this product (though I'd love that.. I have twins lol).I've tried other portable white noise machines in the past and like the actual sound of this the best. The TV setting white noise is perfect. I used to use an app on my iPhone for the noise and this noise perfectly matches that so I love that. I also like that it take a few seconds of holding down the on/off button for those functions to be performed because my previous portable thing kept turning on and off. All in all, very happy with this product. I took off one star because it should've been just a wee bit louder and the design could've been easier on the eyes. Maybe I just don't like monkeys. Lol.Ps. It is loud enough to be effective but sometimes you need it to be louder when you're in a noisy place so that would've been even better.
