It Works!!! Wear Gloves For Handling Bait And Bait Trap So They Feel Safe. Hunger Wins The Day!!
11/25/22: Key note, once you bait your traps, put the bait away where they can't smell it. I keep mine in ziploc gallon bags, in a much larger bag, in a drawer they can't get to. Especially the large size, for rats and mice, where the bait is in tiny plastic wraps in a thin cardboard box. They can smell it! The same mouse bait comes in a sturdy seal-able bag that, while not wrapped in plastic but rather loose in the bag, keeps the little buggers from smelling it.I also watch the bait and when I see it get down to the nubs, one side eaten off, I change it for new blocks.Still working, thank heavens. The place I rented didn't have a place for a dishwasher so someone who wasn't thinking clearly removed the only thing, the side panel to the under sink cabinet so rodents can come and go at will. I was pretty much okay using traps until this year when the extreme temps alternating near daily started confusing them and they would snap the traps and then eat the bait, and then enter my home looking for more food.Out of sheer desperation I tried both varieties of the most recent version of TomCat rodent bait, Rat and Mouse, and Mouse, not knowing which would really work or what size of beast was entering.I know they work because I hear them go to the traps, eat, and then leave when they realize they made a mistake and are dying. They love it though, and it has helped so much.11/5/22: It works!!! I kept looking at it and there was no activity on the blocks at all. I used alternate means to discourage them from coming in during the interim, because I was being hit hard due to the heat wave here, and then due to them wanting to nest once it cooled. I live next to farm acreage and it's never been like this so I was desperate and bought in spite of the horrible reviews. All it takes is time, for them to be hungry enough, and feel safe enough to try it. I used gloves to hand the bait trap and gloves to handle the bait. Careful planning and patience win the day. I reloaded it today even though each block was only half eaten because if more come I want my welcome wagon ready!9/26/2022: Wore gloves and did everything as much "right" as I could. Finding a location where I could both monitor it and reach it to change bait is problematic. Two feisty dogs here that I don't trust not to tamper with the box.The bait and station I received were each packaged separately, the bait in a box in plastic sleeves, and the box in a larger box. It wasn't sealed so I really hope no one handled the box before I got it since it came without packaging. Anyone one could have opened the box to take a look. Stupid. Also stupid not allowing it to be in a shipping envelope. I get tiny things in huge boxes and this they couldn't be bothered to properly ship.I put it where I could and I know that mice and rats have visited the area even when things weren't where they typically would travel. So I placed it and now I wait to see if things get quieter over time. The mice and, supposedly, rats make quite a ruckus at night and sometimes during the day. It will just be a matter of time. Placed a mouse station yesterday but haven't checked on it yet. It's in an area that I think a mouse has visited recently so I'm hoping it'll be enticed. Used the one specifically for mice and those chunks are brown.Given the reviews here saying the purple bait doesn't work I may go an alternate route and drill a hole in the mice bait and put in the rat station. It just depends. Didn't have any problems until this summer with the constant 90+ degree heat. Suddenly I have rodents inside and I don't like it. They need to go or I will. 🤞🏻

Good for mice
This works well to get rid of mice around the house and basement. They send you plenty of extra poison blocks so you can refill it. The mice can get in it but your pets can not. Easy to use and the mice usually leave after eating the poison. So no mess.

Seems to work
The media could not be loaded. So I just put this out today. This was a last resort. I typically only humanely catch and release but the last tenets had chickens which caused rats and mice to make holes where we can’t find. Thus it got to be too big of an issue.I thought it was mice but it turned out to be rats.. 5 rats that I could count to be exact (probably more). I set the trap and after about an hour or so they noticed and went in for the bait. So far all rats besides one has been eating the bait. Irony is the rat that isn’t eating it is the largest one! Hoping I can trick him someway into the humane trap or this one. They just started eating it so haven’t died just yet. Worried about the smell of 5 dead rats in our wall but atleast we all may have some rest soon without the constant chewing and clawing at our walls and ceiling.

Rats in my attic seem to like it
Put a wi-fi camera in attic and saw a few rats scurrying around. Put some of this Tomcat up there. Got good video of a rat picking one up with his mouth and walking away with it (used just the bait, no station). Haven't seen any rats lately. Must be working.

Worked
The rat went inside ate the poison and got free. It did get rid of our problem but the rat got out which I think is the main idea for this.

Only Kinda Works
We started having a rodent problem in the backyard of our NYC Apartment before we left. After placing tomcat product out each time we only encountered 1 dead mouse from what seemed to be the poison. Snap traps seemed to be far more effective than these that my neighbor was using.
